Abstract

Salah satu tujuan PAI di sekolah adalah menanamkan pengetahuan agama sekaligus mengembangkan sikap religius yang tercermin dalam pengamalan nilai-nilai Islam dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Namun dalam praktiknya, kemampuan siswa dalam memahami materi secara mendalam serta implementasinya dalam kehidupan beragama sehari-hari masih tergolong rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji efektivitas implementasi model PBL pada mata pelajaran PAI dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pengamalan keagamaan siswa kelas X di salah satu SMA Negeri di Garut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mix method desain exploratory sequential yang mengkombinasikan model kualitatif library research dan kuantitatif quasi experimental desain nonequivalen control group. Pengumpulan data pada tahap kualitatif menggunakan studi dokumen. Sementara instrumen tes dan angket skala digunakan pada tahap kuantitatif. Data kualitatif yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan content analysis, dan data kuantitatif dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif, analisis inferensi (uji beda), serta N-Gain score dan prosen. Hasil penelitian kualitatif menunjukan bahwa implementasi model PBL pada mata pelajaran PAI baik pada perencanaan, pelaksanaan atau sintaks, maupun evaluasi pembelajaran berfokus dan terpusat pada masalah serta perncarian solusi secara kontekstual. Secara kuantitatif, model pembelajaran PBL di kelas eksperimen mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pengamalan keagamaan siswa. Hal itu ditunjukkan dengan hasil uji beda dimana nilai sig. 0,001 untuk pengetahuan keagamaan dan 0,000 untuk pengamalan keagamaan < 0.05. Hal ini diperkuat oleh perolehan N-Gain Prosen sebesar 69,67% untuk pengetahuan keagamaan dan 56,66% untuk pengamalan keagamaan yang termasuk pada kategori cukup efektif. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini adalah penguatan pembelajaran melalui model pembelajaran aktif, penguasaan teknologi pendidikan, serta evaluasi komprehensif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran PAI. One of the objectives of Islamic Religious Education in schools is to instill religious knowledge while developing religious attitudes that are reflected in the practice of Islamic values in everyday life. However, in practice, students' ability to understand the material in depth and its implementation in everyday religious life is still relatively low. The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of the implementation of the PBL model in Islamic Religious Education subjects in improving the knowledge and practice of religious knowledge of class X students in one of the State Senior High Schools in Garut. This study used a mix method exploratory sequential design approach that combines qualitative library research models and quantitative quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group designs. Data collection at the qualitative stage used document studies. While test instruments and scale questionnaires were used at the quantitative stage. The qualitative data collected were analyzed using content analysis, and quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, inference analysis (difference test), and N-Gain score and percentage. The results of qualitative research show that the implementation of the PBL model in Islamic Religious Education subjects both in planning, implementation or syntax, and learning evaluation focuses and is centered on problems and finding solutions contextually. Quantitatively, the PBL learning model in the experimental class is able to improve students' religious knowledge and practice. This is indicated by the results of the difference test where the sig. value is 0.001 for religious knowledge and 0.000 for religious practice <0.05. This is reinforced by the N-Gain Percentage of 69.67% for religious knowledge and 56.66% for religious practice which is included in the fairly effective category. The recommendations from this study are to strengthen learning through active learning models, mastery of educational technology, and comprehensive evaluation to improve the quality of PAI learning.
