Abstract
Permasalahan pembelajaran di sekolah dapat muncul dengan berbagai macam dasar alasan. Terutama masalah yang muncul dalam kegiatan membaca. Berdasarkan hasil studi pendahuluan di sekolah dasar Laboratorium UPI Kampus Tasikmalaya yang dilakukan dengan cara observasi dan wawancara kepada guru kelas I, didapati mengenai permasalahan dalam kegiatan membaca yang terjadi pada beberapa peserta didik yang Terindikasi disleksia dengan hasil dilakukannya pra-diagnosa disleksia yang hasilnya dikonsultasikan pada psikolog. Penggunaan media yang digunakan guru hanya berupa kartu kata atau kartu huruf pada umumnya. Disleksia termasuk anak berkebutuhan khusus, dimana anak berkebutuhan khusus memerlukan alat-alat pendidikan khusus untuk mendukung kebutuhan belajar mereka. Solusi dari kartu huruf yang tidak mencakup komponen penunjang pembelajaran mengenal huruf abjad bagi peserta didik Terindikasi disleksia, dikembangkanlah media kartu huruf pop-up berbasis edutainment dengan mengintegrasikan elemen visual, auditori, taktil serta permainan untuk menciptakan media dengan menekankan pada multisensori dan memberikan pengalaman belajar yang menyenangkan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Design Based Reasearch (DBR), metode ini digunakan untuk mengembangkan sebuah produk yang dapat dijadikan salah satu solusi pada permasalahan yang terjadi. Dengan dilakukan uji kelayakan media pada para ahli yang relevan, media ini dapat di uji respon pada tiga peserta didik terindikasi disleksia, dan didapatkan hasil peserta didik menyukai penggunaan media dalam pembelajaran membaca. Educational problems in schools can arise for various reasons, especially related to reading activities. Based on a preliminary study at the Laboratory Elementary School of UPI Tasikmalaya Campus, which involved observations and interviews with first-grade teachers, problems in reading activities among some students were identified. To further understand the indications experienced by the students, a pre-diagnosis for dyslexia was conducted and the results were consulted with a psychologist. Children with dyslexia have unique difficulties in reading and writing. Dyslexia is categorized as a special educational need, where such children require specialized educational tools to support their learning needs. A pop-up letter card media based on edutainment was developed to address these issues, integrating visual, auditory, tactile, and game elements to create a multisensory learning experience. By utilizing technological features and designs tailored to specific needs, this media is expected to solve the lack of reading learning materials for dyslexic students in elementary schools. The method used in this study is Design-Based Research (DBR), which is considered appropriate for developing a product that could address the identified issues. After a feasibility test of the media by relevant experts, it was trialed with three dyslexic students, and the results indicated that the students enjoyed using the media for reading activities. Thus, the pop-up letter card media based on edutainment can be a solution to the problem of insufficient specialized media for dyslexic students.
