Abstract

Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, pemerintah telah mengambil beberapa langkah untuk mengatasi masalah pencemaran sumber daya air di sepanjang Koridor Sungai Citarum. Meskipun ada banyak inisiatif yang telah dilaksanakan, hasil yang dicapai belum optimal dan masalah pencemaran serta kerusakan ekosistem Sungai Citarum masih tetap menjadi tantangan besar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh perilaku masyarakat yang berkaitan dengan kondisi sosial ekonomi terhadap pelestarian sumber daya air di sepanjang Koridor Sungai Citarum Sektor 1-4. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif, dengan pendekatan geografi dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kelingkungan, karena pendekatan ini menekankan pada interaksi antara manusia dan lingkungan. Adapun instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner dengan sampel penelitian ini yaitu 35 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat dengan tingkat pendidikan yang lebih tinggi cenderung memiliki perilaku yang lebih baik dalam mengelola lingkungan, termasuk pengelolaan sumber daya air. Kemudian pada hasil analisis data perilaku masyarakat terhadap pelestarian sumber daya air memperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,000 yang lebih kecil dari 0,05. Artinya terdapat pengaruh perilaku masyarakat dan pelestarian sumber daya air. Adapun saran dari penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan kolaborasi antara pemerintah, masyarakat, sektor swasta, dan lembaga non-pemerintah dalam upaya pelestarian Sungai Citarum. In recent years, the government has taken several measures to address the problem of water resources pollution along the Citarum River Corridor. Although there are many initiatives that have been implemented, the results achieved have not been optimal and the problem of pollution and damage to the Citarum River ecosystem still remains a major challenge. The purpose of this study is to analyse the influence of community behaviour related to socioeconomic conditions on water resources conservation along the Citarum River Corridor Sectors 1-4. The research method used is descriptive quantitative, with a geographical approach in this study using an environmental approach, because this approach emphasises the interaction between humans and the environment. The research instrument used a questionnaire with a sample of 35 respondents. The results showed that people with higher education levels tend to have better behaviour in managing the environment, including water resources management. Then on the results of data analysis of community behaviour towards the preservation of water resources obtained a significance value of 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05. This means that there is an influence of community behaviour and the preservation of water resources. The suggestion from this research is to increase collaboration between the government, the community, the private sector, and non-governmental institutions in the effort to conserve the Citarum River.
