Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen tes berdasarkan level literasi sains konsep air bersih dan sanitasi di Sekolah Dasar dengan latar belakang rendahnya skor literasi sains di Indonesia berdasarkan data perolehan dari hasil survey yang dilakukan oleh OECD tahun 2022. Salah satu penyebab rendahnya kemampuan literasi sains di Indonesia yaitu kurangnya instrumen yang merujuk pada literasi sains dan belum mengarahkan pada level berpikir secara ilmiah. Padahal dengan adanya literasi sains dapat meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik untuk menggunakan pengetahuan sains, mengidentifikasi pertanyaan secara ilmiah dan mendasar serta mengambil kesimpulan berdasarkan bukti-bukti ilmiah yang ditandai dengan kemampuan menjelaskan fenomena secara ilmiah, mengevaluasi dan merancang penyelidikan secara ilmiah, dan menafsirkan data dan bukti secara ilmiah. Inovasi intrumen tes berdasarkan level literasi sains ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode Design Based Research (DBR) dengan data dikumpulkan melalui studi pendahuluan dan studi lapangan. Adapun desain yang diadaptasi dan digunakan adalah menggunakan metode DBR dari Reeves yang terdiri atas identifikasi dan analisis masalah; mengembangkan solusi; melakukan proses berulang untuk menguji dan memperbaiki solusi secara praktis; dan refleksi untuk meningkatkan kualitas implementasi sebagai solusi praktis. Hasil uji coba dianalisis menggunakan Permodelan Rasch sehingga dapat diketahui kualitas soal berdasarkan tingkat kesulitan soal, kesesuaian soal, tingkat abilitas peserta didik dan tingkat kesesuaian peserta didik. Maka diperoleh empat kategori tingkat kesulitan soal yaitu sukar, sulit, mudah dan sangat mudah dengan tingkat kesesuaian yang baik. Selain itu, diketahui juga tingkat abilitas peserta didik yang dapat dikategorikan rendah, sedang dan tinggi dengan tingkat kesesuaian masing-masing peserta didik. This study aims to develop a test instrument based on the science literacy level of the concept of clean water and sanitation in elementary schools against the background of low science literacy scores in Indonesia based on data obtained from the results of a survey conducted by the OECD in 2022. One of the causes of low science literacy in Indonesia is the lack of instruments that refer to science literacy and have not directed to the level of scientific thinking. Whereas the existence of science literacy can improve the ability of students to use scientific knowledge, identify questions scientifically and fundamentally and draw conclusions based on scientific evidence characterized by the ability to explain phenomena scientifically, evaluate and design investigations scientifically, and interpret data and evidence scientifically. This innovation of test instruments based on science literacy levels is a qualitative research with the Design Based Research (DBR) method with data collected through preliminary studies and field studies. The design adapted and used is using Reeves' DBR method which consists of identifying and analyzing problems; developing solutions; conducting an iterative process to test and improve solutions practically; and reflection to improve the quality of implementation as a practical solution. The results of the trial were analyzed using Rasch modeling so that the quality of the questions based on the level of difficulty of the questions, the suitability of the questions, the level of students' abilities and the level of suitability of the students could be known. So obtained four categories of question difficulty levels namely difficult, difficult, easy and very easy with a good level of suitability. In addition, it is also known that the level of students' abilities can be categorized as low, medium and high with the level of suitability of each student
