Abstract

Tesis ini berjudul “Tradisi Bercerita (Kapu-kapuuna) Masyarakat Muna Sulawesi Tenggara (Kajian Struktur, Konteks Penuturan, Fungsi, Model serta Alternatif sebagai Bahan Ajar Apresiasi Sastra di SMA)”. Penelitian ini dilator belakangi oleh adanya kekhawatiran peneliti mengenai keberadaan tradisi bercerita (kapu-kapuuna) masyarakat Muna keberadaannya semakin langkah dan akan berakibat kepunahan. Rumusan masalah penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah struktur teks tradisi bercerita (kapu-kapuuna) ?, Bagaimanakah konteks penuturan tradisi bercerita (kapu-kapuuna) ?, Bagaimanakah fungsi tradisi bercerita (kapu-kapuuna) ?, Bagaimanakah proses penciptaan dan pewarisan tradisi bercerita (kapu-kapuuna)?, Bagaimana Model serta Alternatif sebagai Bahan Ajar Apresiasi sastra di SMA? Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh deskripsi tentang struktur teks, konteks penuturan, fungsi, proses penciptaan dan pewarisan tradisi bertcerita (kapu-kapuuna), serta Model dan Alternatif sebagai Bahan Ajar Apresiasi Sastra di SMA. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori kebudayaan, tradisi lisan, folklor, sastra lisan, struktur, fungsi, dan konteks. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan secara naturalistik. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, perekaman, membuat catatan, observasi, dan menggunakan pengetahuan peneliti. Sumber datanya adalah teks dan konteks cerita rakyat kapu-kapuuna. Analisis data dan pembahasan terdapat gambaran umum lokasi penelitian; perihal cerita rakyat kapu-kapuuna; struktur teks cerita kapu-kapuuna; konteks penuturan cerita kapu-kapuuna; fungsi cerita kapu-kapuuna; proses penciptaan dan pewarisan cerita kapu-kapuuna; serta model pembelajarannya di SMA. Struktur teks cerita rakyat kapu-kapuuna yaitu alur, tokoh, latar, tema, pesan/amanat. Konteks penuturan tradisi bercerita (kapu-kapuuna) adalah fleksibel. Fungsi tradisi bercerita (kapu-kapuuna) adalah sebagai alat pendidikan, sebagai alat pelipur lara atau menghibur, sebagai alat pengakrab antarmasyarakat. This thesis entitled story telling tradition (kapu-kapuuna) of munanese at southeast sulawesi( a study of structure, context of utterance, function, model and alternative as teaching materials for literary appreciation at high school). This research is done based on the concern on the existence of storytelling tradition from Munanese which has tendency to be extinct owing to the scarcity of its existence. The problems of the research are: how is the text structure of the story telling tradition (kapu-kapuuna)? How is the context of the utterance in the story telling tradition (kapu-kapuuna)? What is the function of the story telling tradition (kapu-kapuuna)? how are the construction process and the preservation process done in the story telling tradition (kapu-kapuuna)? How are the model and its alternative as a teaching material for literary appreciation at high school? This research is aimed at getting description about the text structure, context of utterance, function, creation and preservation process of story telling tradition (kapu-kapuuna) as well as the model and the alternative as a teaching material for literary appreciation at high school. The theories used in this research were culture theory, oral tradition, folklore, oral literary, structure, function, and context. This research used descriptive qualitative method by using naturalistic approach. The data were collected by means of interview, recording, note taking, observation, and researcher knowledge. The source of the data was the text and the context of folklore in kapu- kapuuna. The data analysis and the discussion contained general description of research situation; the case of kapu-kapuuna; the text structure of kapu- kapuuna; the context of utterance of kapu- kapuuna; the function of kapu- kapuuna; the creation and the preservation process of kapu- kapuuna; as well as the teaching model at high school. First of all, the structures of the text found in kapu- kapuuna were plot, character, setting, theme, and message. In addition, the context of utterance found in kapu-kapuuna was flexible. Furthermore, the functionsfound in this kind of story telling (kapu –kapuuna) were as a pedagogic tool, as an entertainment tool, as well as as a unifying agent among society.
