Abstract

Penelitian ini mengungkap ketercapaian kinerja praktikum uji makanan siswa SMP setelah menggunakan prosedur praktikum berbentuk komik. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis ketercapaian kinerja praktikum siswa, tanggapan siswa terhadap prosedur praktikum berbentuk komik dan untuk mengembangkan prosedur praktikum berbentuk komik sebagai format alternatif penulisan dalam modul pembelajaran biologi. Adapun indikator ketercapaian kinerja siswa dinilai dari 13 aspek kinerja praktikum yaitu: menggunakan jas lab, memilih alat dan bahan, meneteskan reagen, memberi label, menggunakan pipet, menggunakan alat yang berbeda untuk larutan/bahan yang berbeda, meneteskan bahan atau larutan ke tabung, melihat skala pada gelas ukur, mengamati indikator hasil uji, memanaskan larutan pada tabung, melakukan langkah kerja sesuai prosedur praktikum, menuliskan hasil praktikum, membersihkan dan mengembalikan alat dalam keadaan kering. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rubrik kinerja, angket, dan format wawancara. Rubrik kinerja untuk menilai kinerja praktikum siswa, rubrik ini diisi oleh observer yang mengamati siswa ketika praktikum. Angket diisi oleh siswa untuk mengetahui tanggapan siswa mengenai penggunaan prosedur praktikum berbentuk komik. Format wawancara sebagai panduan untuk menggali informasi lebih lengkap kepada observer mengenai kendala yang ditemukan ketika penggunana prosedur praktikum berbentuk komik di sekolah. Subjek penelitian ini adalah salah satu kelas VIII di SMP N 12 Bandung yang terdiri 38 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa sebagian besar kinerja praktikum siswa sangat baik. Siswa pun setuju terhadap penggunaan prosedur praktikum berbentuk komik dalam pembelajaran di sekolah. Adapun kendala yang dihadapi siswa diantaranya berasal dari faktor internal dan eksternal. Faktor internal yaitu kendala yang berasal dari dalam diri siswa, seperti: malas membaca prosedur dan tidak menyukai komik. Sedangkan faktor eksternal adalah faktor yang berasal dari luar siswa seperti: ketidakjelasan gambar komik, warna, tulisan, dan unsur komik lainnya. Kata kunci: Kinerja Praktikum, Komik, Uji Makanan, Prosedur Praktikum The research reveals the achievement of the performance lab test food after students of junior high school using the lab procedure comic form. The purpose of this study is to analyze the performance of a practicum student achievement, student responses to the lab procedures comics and to develop practical procedures in the form of comics as an alternative format of writing in biology learning modules. The indicators of achievement performance students 13 assessed practical aspects of performance, namely: using a lab coat, selecting tools and materials, reagents shed, labeling, using a pipette, using different tools for solution / different material, or material shed a solution to the tube, see scale on the measuring cup, the indicator test results, heat the solution in the tube, do the work according to lab procedures, write lab results, cleanse and restore tool in a dry state. The method of this research is descriptive. The instrument used in this study is the performance rubric, questionnaire, and interview format. Performance rubric to assess the performance of practicum students, this column is filled by observers who observe students when practical. Questionnaires filled out by students to determine students' responses regarding the use of comics in the form of lab procedures. The format of the interview as a guide to dig more information to the observer about the obstacles found when use comic lab procedures in schools. Subjects of this study is one of the eighth grade in SMP N 12 Bandung comprising 38 students. The results showed that most of the practicum student's performance is very good. Students also agree to use the procedure in the form of comics for learning lab at school. The constraints faced by the students of which comes from internal and external factors. Internal factors that constraint comes from the students themselves, such as: lazy to read the procedure and do not like comics. While external factors are factors that come from outside the student such as: vagueness comic image, color, text, and other elements of comics. Based on this research can be concluded that most students have a very good practical performance, and consent to the use of comics in the form of practical procedures in the learning lab at school.
