Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk meneliti pengaruh model pembelajaran problem based learning (PBL) dan model pembelajaran langsung terhadap keterampilan bermain bola basket, dan untuk membandingkan pengaruh model pembelajaran PBL dengan model pembelajaran langsung terhadap keterampilan bermain bola basket. Subjek dalam penelitian adalah peserta didik laki-laki kelas VII yang tergabung dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler bola basket di SMP Negeri 2 Gununghalu yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen, sedangkan desain penelitian menggunakan matching control group pretest-posttest design. Instrument penelitian yang digunakan adalah GPAI yaitu Game Performance Assessment Instrument. Untuk menganalisis data, digunakan program software SPSS 16.0. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa model pembelajaran PBL berpengaruh positif terhadap keterampilan bermain bola basket dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Model pembelajaran langsung berpengaruh positif terhadap keterampilan bermain bola basket dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Hasil perbandingan data antara model pembelajaran PBL dengan model pembelajaran langsung menunjukan bahwa model pembelajaran PBL mempunyai pengaruh yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran langsung dengan nilai signifikansi 0,003 < 0,05. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari model pembelajaran PBL dan model pembelajaran langsung terhadap keterampilan bermain bola basket. Perbandingan dari model PBL dan model langsung menunjukan bahwa model pembelajaran PBL mempunyai pengaruh yang lebih baik dari model pembelajaran langsung terhadap keterampilan bermain bola basket This study was conducted to investigate the influence of problem-based learning (PBL) model and the direct instructional model to game performance of basketball, and to compare the influence of the PBL model with the direct instructional model to game performance of basketball. Subjects in the study were male students who are members of the class VII basketball extracurricular activities in SMP Negeri 2 Gununghalu were selected by purposive sampling. The method used in this study was a quasi-experimental, while the design of the study using a matched control group pretest-posttest design. Research instrument used was GPAI (Game Performance Assessment Instrument). To analyze the data, the writer used the SPSS 16.0 software program. The results of data analysis show that the PBL model has positive influence on game performance of basketball with a significance value 0.000 < 0.05. Direct instructional model has positive influence on game performance of basketball with a significance value 0.000 < 0.05. The results of the comparison of data between the PBL model with direct instructional model shows that the PBL model has a better effect than the direct instructional model with a significance value 0.003 < 0.05. The conclusion from this research that there is a significant influence of the PBL model and direct instructional model to the game performance of basketball. The comparison of the PBL model and direct model shows that the PBL model has a better influence than direct instructional model to game performance of basketball.
