Abstract

Berpikir kritis merupakan keterampilan berpikir yang membantu siswa dalam menemukan pemecahan masalah melalui proses berpikir secara aktif, relektif dan logis. Keterampilan berpikir kritis membantu siswa menentukan pilihan yang harus dipilih sehingga mencegah menentukan pilihan yang kurang tepat. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas program bimbingan kelompok teknik dialog sokratik untuk mengembangkan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI di SMK Negeri 15 Bandung. Penelitian menggunakan paradigma positivisme, pendekatan kuantitaif degan metode eksperimen kuasi desain non-equivalent control group desain. Teknik pengampilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Instrumen berpikir kritis dikembangkan dan digunakan untuk pengumpulan data keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji statistic non parametrik Mann Whitney U Test dan Wilcoxon. Temuan penelitian pada 416 siswa menunjukkan bahwa profil umum berpikir kritis siswa berada pada kategori practicing thinker sehingga diperlukan upaya untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik dialog sokratik berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian dapat bermanfaat untuk guru bimbingan dan konseling serta peneliti selanjutnya yang memiliki ketertarikan dalam keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Critical thinking is a thinking skill that helps students find solutions to problems through an active, relective and logical thinking process. Critical thinking skills help students determine the options that must be chosen so as to prevent making inappropriate choices. The research aims to determine the effectivei of group guidance program of socratic dialogue technique to develop critical thinking of grade XI students at SMK Negeri 15 Bandung. This research uses a positivism paradigm, a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design non-equivalent pretest posttest control group method. Sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling. The critical thinking instrument was developed and used to collect data on students’ critical thinking. The results of data collection on 416 students show that the general profile of students' critical thinking is in the practicing thinker category so that efforts are needed to develop students' critical thinking skills. The results showed that group guidance with socratic dialogue techniques had an effect on the development of students' critical thinking skills. This research can be useful for guidance and counseling teachers and further researchers who have an interest in students' critical thinking skills
