Abstract

Kegiatan industri pengolahan batu marmer memiliki beberapa kekurangan yang merugikan lingkungan yaitu limbahnya, inovasi pemanfaatan limbah industri batu marmer sangat diperlukan sehingga tidak lagi menjadi sumber pencemaran lingkungan, melainkan menjadi sumber yang bermanfaat. Karakteristik marmer memiliki nilai uji kuat tekan yang besar dimana dengan kuat tekan ini marmer dapat memenuhi salah satu kebutuhan agregat kasar pada beton. Adapun beton dengan bahan tambah silica fume yang menggunakan variasi 10% dari berat volume semen menunjukan peningkatan kuat tekan pada beton. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan eksperimen dengan kuat tekan beton rencana f’c = 30 MPa, beton kontrol dengan tambahan silica fume, serta substitusi pecahan marmer dengan variasi 15%, 30%, 45%, dan 60% dari berat volume agregat kasar. Adapun penggunaan silica fume menunjukkan adanya penurunan kelecakan dan berat jenis terhadap beton kontrol, serta dengan semakin tingginya pecahan marmer pada campuran beton, semakin tinggi kelecakan dan berat jenisnya. Hasil yang diperoleh dari pengujian kuat tekan beton umur 28 hari yaitu pada beton tanpa substitusi 30.095 MPa, beton silica fume 30.923 Mpa, dan pada campuran beton silica fume substitusi pecahan marmer dengan persentase 15%, 30%, 45%, dan 60% berturut-turut adalah 32.289 MPa, 33.529 MPa, 31.050 Mpa, dan 29.161 Mpa. Untuk penelitian lanjutan disarankan untuk menggunakan persentase substitusi pecahan marmer antara 15%- 45%. The marble processing industry has several drawbacks that harm the environment, namely its waste. Innovation in utilizing marble industry waste is essential so that it no longer becomes a source of environmental pollution but instead becomes a beneficial resource. Marble's characteristics include a high compressive strength test value, making it suitable for fulfilling the need for coarse aggregate in concrete. Additionally, concrete with a 10% silica fume additive by weight of cement shows an increase in compressive strength. In this study, an experiment was conducted with a planned concrete compressive strength of f’c = 30 MPa as a control, control concrete with silica fume added, and marble fragment substitutions with variations of 15%, 30%, 45%, and 60% by weight of coarse aggregate. The use of silica fume shows a decrease in workability and specific gravity compared to control concrete, and as the amount of marble fragments in the concrete mix increases, both workability and specific gravity increase. The results obtained from the 28-day concrete compressive strength test are 30.095 MPa for normal concrete, 30.923 MPa for silica fume concrete, and 32.289 MPa, 33.529 MPa, 31.050 MPa, and 29.161 MPa for the silica fume concrete mix with marble fragment substitutions of 15%, 30%, 45%, and 60%, respectively. For further research, it is recommended to use marble fragment substitution percentages between 15% and 45%.
