Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep materi pesawat sederhana setelah menerapkan model pembelajaran Children’s Learning In Science (CLIS) di salah satu SD Negeri di Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang diadaptasi dari model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart, dengan tahapan terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam tiga siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 14 orang SD Negeri 1 Cibogo Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Instrumen penelitian ini terdiri dari tes pemahaman konsep, lembar observasi serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan setiap siklusnya setelah belajar dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran CLIS pada materi pesawat sederhana. Hal ini ditunjukan dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata post-test yang meningkat pada setiap siklusnya, yaitu pada siklus I sebesar 68,57, siklus II sebesar 73,57 dan siklus III sebesar 77,86, dengan perolehan gain yang dinormalisasi pada siklus I sebesar 0,33 dengan kategori rendah, pada siklus II diperoleh gain yang dinormalisasi sebesar 0,40 dengan kategori sedang dan pada siklus III diperoleh gain yang dinormalisasi sebesar 0,67 dengan kategori sedang. Selain itu juga, terdapat peningkatan nilai rata-rata gain yang dinormalisasi untuk setiap aspek pemahaman konsep siswa dengan kategori rendah dan sedang. Secara keseluruhan juga terdapat peningkatan aktivitas serta persentase keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran CLIS oleh siswa dan guru pada setiap siklusnya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran CLIS dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA materi pesawat sederhana. Diharapkan guru dapat mengkaji dan menerapkan model pembelajaran CLIS pada materi pembelajaran yang lain juga. This study aims to obtain a describe of the implementation of learning and knowing improved understanding of the concept of a simple plane material after applying the learning model Children's Learning in Science (CLIS). The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR), which was adapted from the model of Kemmis and Mc Taggart, with the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This research is done in three cycles. The subjects were students of class V, the subject are 14 students at SDN 1 Cibogo. The research instrument consisted of a test conceptual understanding, observation and documentation sheet. The results showed that an increase in the acquisition indicated an average value of the post-test were increased in each cycle, the first cycle of 68.57, the second cycle of 73.57 and 77.86 for the third cycle, the normalized gain on the acquisition of the first cycle of 0.33 with the low category, the second cycle was obtained normalized gain of 0.40 with the medium category and the third cycle is obtained normalized gain of 0.67 with the middle category. In addition, there is an increase in the average value of the normalized gain for every aspect of students' understanding of concepts with low and medium categories. Based on these results it can be concluded that the application of learning models CLIS had improved students' understanding of concepts in materials science learning simple plane. Based on these results it can be concluded that the application of learning models CLIS can increase students' understanding of concepts in materials science learning simple plane. Teachers are expected to assess and apply the learning model CLIS on other learning materials as well.
