Abstract

ABSTRAKSI Pariwisata merupakan sektor ekonomi yang berkembang pesat dan berkontribusi signifikan terhadap PDB global serta penyediaan lapangan kerja. Indonesia, sebagai destinasi unggulan di Asia Tenggara, memiliki potensi besar dalam mengembangkan Health Tourism, khususnya Wellness Tourism yang fokus pada kesehatan dan kesejahteraan holistik. Wellness Tourism di Indonesia dipandang sebagai kunci pemulihan sektor pariwisata dan ekonomi kreatif, dengan potensi besar terutama di wilayah Ciater, Subang. Ciater, yang dikenal dengan sumber air panas alami, menawarkan potensi besar untuk pengembangan hydrotherapy, terapi air yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kesehatan fisik dan mental. Kondisi alam yang mendukung menjadikan Ciater sebagai lokasi ideal untuk dikembangkan menjadi destinasi Wellness Tourism unggulan di Indonesia. Pengembangan Healthy Resort and Spa di wilayah ini dapat mengoptimalkan potensi tersebut dengan menyediakan layanan kesehatan yang komprehensif, mencakup hydrotherapy, program kebugaran, dan nutrisi. Inisiatif ini tidak hanya mendukung sektor pariwisata tetapi juga berkontribusi pada kesehatan masyarakat, mengingat meningkatnya prevalensi Penyakit Tidak Menular (PTM) di Indonesia. Dengan memanfaatkan kearifan lokal dan keunikan alam Ciater, Wellness Tourism dapat menjadi daya tarik utama bagi wisatawan domestik dan internasional yang mencari pengalaman liburan yang mendukung kesehatan fisik, mental, dan emosional. Pengembangan sektor ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat lokal sekaligus memberikan dampak positif bagi perekonomian Indonesia secara keseluruhan. Kata Kunci: Arsitektur Organik, Healthy Resort, Health and Wellness, Hydrotheraphy ABSTRACT Tourism is a rapidly growing economic sector and contributes significantly to global GDP and employment. Indonesia, as a leading destination in Southeast Asia, has great potential in developing Health Tourism, especially Wellness Tourism which focuses on holistic health and well-being. Wellness Tourism in Indonesia is seen as the key to the recovery of the tourism sector and the creative economy, with great potential especially in the Ciater area, Subang. Ciater, known for its natural hot springs, offers great potential for the development of hydrotherapy, an effective water therapy in improving physical and mental health. The supportive natural conditions make Ciater an ideal location to be developed into a leading Wellness Tourism destination in Indonesia. The development of a Healthy Resort and Spa in this area can optimize this potential by providing comprehensive health services, including hydrotherapy, fitness programs, and nutrition. This initiative not only supports the tourism sector but also contributes to public health, given the increasing prevalence of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) in Indonesia. By utilizing local wisdom and the uniqueness of Ciater's nature, Wellness Tourism can be a major attraction for domestic and international tourists looking for a holiday experience that supports physical, mental, and emotional health. The development of this sector is expected to improve the welfare of local communities while providing a positive impact on the Indonesian economy as a whole.
