Abstract
Di SMP Laboratorium UPI yang merupakan tempat dilakukannya penelitian ini, masih terdapat siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam menyusun kalimat bahasa Jepang. Faktor yang menjadi kesulitan bagi pembelajar bahasa Jepang di Indonesia adalah adanya perbedaan struktur kalimat antara bahasa Jepang dengan bahasa ibu yang digunakan dan minimnya kemauan belajar dengan memanfaatkan waktu yang ada menyebabkan pembelajar sulit untuk meningkatkan kemampuannya berbahasa Jepang. Selain itu, media pembelajaran yang terbatas, tidak variatif dan kurang inovatif menjadi suatu permasalahan yang dialami oleh pembelajar bahasa Jepang. Karena akibatnya, pembelajar akan cenderung bosan dan tidak tertarik untuk belajar Bahasa Jepang. Media belajar yang digunakan sebaiknya memiliki nilai yang dapat menarik perhatian siswa, memotivasi siswa serta mudah untuk digunakan dan didapatkan. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, maka digunakanlah media schedule board sebagai media pembelajaran dengan tujuan untuk memudahkan siswa menyusun kalimat bahasa Jepang. Judul penelitian ini adalah “EFEKTIVITAS MEDIA SCHEDULE BOARD DALAM MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS KALIMAT BAHASA JEPANG (Penelitian Eksperimen Murni Terhadap Siswa Kelas VIII-D SMP Laboratorium UPI Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014)”. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) Untuk mengetahui efektivitas media schedule board dalam pembelajaran menulis kalimat Bahasa Jepang, (2) Untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar yang menggunakan media schedule board dengan hasil belajar yang tidak menggunakan media schedule board, (3) Untuk mengetahui apakah media schedule board menarik bagi pembelajar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah True Eksperimen Design dengan desain penelitian The Purposive Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu siswa dari SMP Laboratorium Percontohan UPI yang terdiri dari kelas kontrol 26 siswa dan kelas eksperimen 26 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes dan angket. Tes dilakukan sebanyak dua kali, yaitu pretest dan post-test. Berdasarkan penelitian, diperoleh thitung sebesar 2,01 dan taraf signifikansi 5% adalah 7,11. Karena thitung lebih besar dari ttabel maka Hk diterima dan Ho ditolak. Hal tersebut diperkuat dengan hasil angket yang menyatakan bahwa media schedule board menarik dan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa menulis kalimat bahasa Jepang. Kata kunci: menulis, media pembelajaran, media schedule board In UPI’s Laboratory Sequential Junior High School where the researcher did the research, there are many students which get the difficulties to write Japanese sentence. One of most of Indonesian’s Japanese learners’ difficulties is the difference between the first language and Japanese. Their desire and made the best the use of time to learn Japanese are too low, which causes students get the difficulty to increase their writing Japanese sentence ability. Furthermore, limited instructional media, no less varied and innovative becomes a problem being experienced by Japanese learners. Because a result, learners will tend to get bored and not interested while learning Japanese. Instructional media should have a value that can attract the attention of students, to motivate students as well, easy to use and obtained. Therefore, there is necessary a media that is not boring and fun by making use of instructional media. To struggle under the difficulty, it is used as a schedule board’s media as the instructional media with the aim to facilitate the learners to write the Japanese sentence. The title of this research is “THE EFFECTIVENESS OF SCHEDULE BOARD MEDIA TO INCREASE JAPANESE SENTENCE WRITING ABILITY (True Experimental Research toward students of VIII-D’s class at UPI’s Laboratory Sequential Junior High School Years 2013/2014)” The purpose of this research are (1) To determine the effectiveness of the schedule board's media to write Japanese sentences in Japanese lesson, (2)To determine the difference of lesson’s result between learners who use schedule board media and the learners who do not use schedule board media, (3) To determine whether the schedule board's media attractive to learners. The used method in this research is True Experimental Design and the research design with is The Purposive Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The samples were students of UPI’s Laboratory Sequential Junior High School, consisted of 26 students of a control class and 26 students of experimental class. The used instrument in this research are tests and questionnaires. Tests done twice, which pretest and post-test. Based of the research, obtained tscore of 2.01 and a significance level of 5% was 7.11. because the tscore is more huge than ttable, then Hk is accepted and Ho is rejected. This is reinforced by the results of the questionnaire stated that the schedule board's media is interesting and can increase the learners ability to write Japanese sentences.
