Abstract

Industri pariwisata telah menjadi salah satu sektor ekonomi yang penting dan berkembang pesat di Indonesia. Salah satu bentuk kegiatan dan aktivitas wisata yang berkontribusi terhadap industri pariwisata nasional, yaitu wisata MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, dan Exhibition). Pemerintah Indonesia secara aktif memberikan dukungan dan dorongan melalui berbagai pembangunan dan kebijakannya. Pemerintah menetapkan sepuluh kota utama yang menjadi tujuan industri MICE di Indonesia, salah satunya adalah Kota Bandung. Pariwisata MICE dapat memberikan peluang dan meciptakan suatu potensi bagi para pelaku usaha lainya dalam pengembangan fasilitas-fasilitas yang dapat menunjang kegiatan MICE, seperti pembangunan travel, hotel, dan restoran. Hal tersebut memberikan dampak positif, seperti meningkatnya pendapatan daerah melalui tingginya jumlah wisatawan yang datang. Disamping itu, peningkatan jumlah wisatawan yang terjadi mengakibatkan adanya permasalahan kota berupa kemacetan dan tingginya tingkat aktivitas maupun kepadatan penduduk di Kota Bandung. Sehingga untuk mengurangi permasalahan kota dan memperhatikan adanya potensi ekonomi saat ini, perancangan kawasan mixed-use dapat menjadi suatu konsep perancangan yang dapat diterapkan. Konsep mixed-use building yang berorientasi pada pelayanan dan penyediaan fasilitas yang mendukung wisata MICE di Kota Bandung dapat meciptakan kawasan daerah yang lebih terpadu. Perancangan mixed-use building menggunakan pendekatan arsitektur modern dapat menjadi salah satu solusi dari isu permasalahan perancangan. Perancangan mixed�use building menggunakan pendekatan arsitektur modern menerapkan karakteristik arsitektur modern yang efektif dan efisien secara pengolahan ruang dan desain. The tourism industry has become one of the important and rapidly growing economic sectors in Indonesia. One form of tourism activity and activity that contributes to the national tourism industry is MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition) tourism. The Indonesian government actively provides support and encouragement through various developments and policies. The government has determined ten main cities as destinations for the MICE industry in Indonesia, one of which is Bandung City. MICE tourism can provide opportunities and create potential for other business actors in developing facilities that can support MICE activities, such as the construction of travel, hotels, and restaurants. This has a positive impact, such as increasing regional income through the high number of tourists visiting. In addition, the increase in the number of tourists that occurs results in city problems in the form of congestion and high levels of activity and population density in Bandung City. So to reduce city problems and pay attention to the current economic potential, the design of a mixed-use area can be a design concept that can be applied. The concept of a mixed-use building that is oriented towards MICE services and the provision of facilities in Bandung City can create a more integrated regional area. Designing a mixed-use building using a modern architectural approach can be one solution to the design problem issues. Designing a mixed-use building using a modern architectural approach applies the characteristics of modern architecture that are effective and efficient in terms of space processing and design.
