Abstract

Abstract: Application of the Model Picture and Picture to Enhance the Ability to Write Narrative Essays 4th Grade Students. This research aims to improve students ability to write narrative essays 4th grade at SDN 3 Cikidang District West Bandung through the application of the model picture and picture. This research using classroom action research methods conducted in three cycles. Each cycle consisting of planning implementation, observation, and reflection. Research result obtained by the grade average scores and percentage complete learn cycle of 76,94 (72,97%), on the second cycle increased to 84,08 (86,48%), and the third cycle increased again to 91,41 (97,29%). Of these data showed that the students ability in writing narrative essays increased after learning by applying the model picture and picture. Keywords: model picture and picture, narrative essays, learning outcomes Abstrak : Penerapan Model Picture and Picture Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Menulis Karangan Narasi Siswa Kelas IV. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis karangan narasi siswa kelas IV SDN 3 Cikidang Kabupaten Bandung Barat melalui penerapan model picture and picture. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu, nilai rata-rata kelas dan presentase ketuntasan belajar siklus I sebesar 76,94 (72,97%). Pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 84,08 (86,48%), dan siklus III kembali meningkat menjadi 91,41 (97,29%). Dari data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam menulis karangan narasi meningkat setelah dilakukan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model picture and picture.
