Abstract
Penelitian ini berangkat dari rendahnya minat masyarakat untuk menggunakan bank syariah di Indonesia, yang tercermin dari market share yang masih kecil. Meskipun memiliki peluang besar di kalangan non-Muslim, bank syariah sering dianggap hanya untuk umat Islam. Padahal, non-Muslim memiliki potensi sebagai nasabah bank syariah, didukung oleh perkembangan industri keuangan syariah secara global, termasuk di negara-negara dengan populasi Muslim minoritas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepercayaan, citra bank, dan kualitas layanan terhadap niat non-Muslim di Jawa Barat yang belum pernah menggunakan bank syariah, dengan sikap sebagai variabel mediasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan PLS-SEM, dan melibatkan 208 responden. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa kepercayaan, citra bank, dan sikap memiliki pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap niat non-Muslim menggunakan bank syariah, sementara kualitas layanan tidak berpengaruh. Sikap juga memediasi hubungan antara citra bank dan kualitas layanan dengan niat, namun tidak memediasi hubungan antara kepercayaan dan niat. Berdasarkan temuan ini, bank syariah diharapkan mengembangkan strategi yang lebih inklusif, menyesuaikan produk dan layanan agar sesuai dengan kebutuhan non-Muslim, serta memastikan produk tersebut memberikan nilai tambah yang relevan. Inovasi layanan yang bersifat universal juga penting agar bank syariah dapat melayani semua kalangan, tidak hanya umat Islam. This research stems from the low interest in using Islamic banks in Indonesia, as reflected by the relatively small market share. Although there is significant potential among non-Muslims, Islamic banks are often perceived as being solely for Muslims. In fact, non-Muslims have the potential to become customers of Islamic banks, supported by the global growth of the Islamic financial industry, including in countries with Muslim minority populations. This study aims to analyze the influence of trust, bank image, and service quality on the intentions of non-Muslims in West Java who have never used Islamic banks, with attitude as a mediating variable. This research uses a descriptive quantitative method with a PLS-SEM approach, involving 208 respondents. The results show that trust, bank image, and attitude have a significant positive influence on non-Muslims' intention to use Islamic banks, while service quality has no effect. Attitude also mediates the relationship between bank image and service quality with intention, but does not mediate the relationship between trust and intention. Based on these findings, Islamic banks are encouraged to develop more inclusive strategies, tailoring their products and services to meet the needs of non-Muslims, while ensuring that these products offer relevant added value. Universal service innovations are also important to enable Islamic banks to serve all segments of society, not just Muslims.
