Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan bepikir kreatif matematis siswa SMP. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran Treffinger lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran konvensional dan mengetahui sikap siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran Treffinger pada pembelajaran matematika. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitiannya adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII di salah satu sekolah menengah pertama di Cimahi tahun ajaran 2013/2014 dan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa dari dua kelas pada sekolah tersebut, yang mana satu kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas lainnya sebagai kelas kontrol. Satu kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran Treffingerdan satu kelas sebagai kelas kontrol memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa, lembar observasi dan angket. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran Treffinger lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran konvensional; (2) siswa memberikan sikap positif terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran Treffinger pada pembelajaran matematika. Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran Treffinger, Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Matematis. This research was motivated by the fact that mathematical creative thinking ability were still low. The objectives of this study were to determine whether the increased creative thinking abilities of students who obtained teaching under Treffinger teaching model better thanstudents who obtained teaching under conventional teaching model and to determine students’ attitudes toward implementation of Treffinger teaching model in mathematics teaching. The method used in this study was quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest control groupdesign. The population in this study were all eight grade students of a junior high school in Cimahi academic year 2013/2014 and the samples were students from two classes of the school, which was one class as experimental group and the other as control group. The experimental group obtained teaching under Treffinger teaching model and the control group obtained conventional teaching model.The data were obtained from test of mathematical creative thinking, observation sheets and questionnaires. The results were: (1) enhancement mathematical creative thinking of students who obtained teaching under Treffinger teaching model better than students who obtained teaching under conventional teaching model; (2) students gave positive attitude toward implementation of Treffinger teaching model in mathematics teaching.
