Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemanfaatan lingkungan sekitar sekolah dalam proses pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas IV pada mata pelajaran IPAS dan bagaimana pemanfaatan lingkungan sekitar sekolah dalam proses pembelajaran IPAS. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Non Equivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SD di Kabupaten Sumedang. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling sehingga terpilih dua kelas sebagai sampel, yaitu siswa kelas IV A SD N Sukaraja II sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas IV C SD N Sukaraja II sebagai kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen menerapkan pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan lingkungan sekitar sekolah, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional di dalam kelas. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi tes hasil belajar dan observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pemanfaatan lingkungan sekitar sekolah dapat dilakukan dengan membawa siswa belajar di luar kelas dengan melakukan pengamatan langsung terhadap mahkluk hidup dan lingkungan. (2) hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh pemanfaatan lingkungan sekitar terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SD N Sukaraja II. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan nilai rata-rata pretest posttest siswa yang semula 60,10 meningkat menjadi 84,87. Dan peningkatan nilai rata-rata N-Gain score untuk kelas eksperimen adalah sebesar 59% termasuk kategori cukup efektif. Dengan demikian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan lingkungan sekitar sekolah dalam proses pembelajaran cukup efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran IPAS pada siswa kelas IV di SD Negeri Sukaraja II Sumedang. Sementara penggunaan metode pembelajaran konvensional kurang efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran IPAS pada siswa kelas IV di SD Negeri Sukaraja II Sumedang. The aim of the study is to find out the impact of the use of the environment around the school in the learning process on the learning outcomes of students of the fourth grade in the IPAS subjects and how the utilization of the school environment in the study process of IPAS. The study uses quasi-experimental methods with research design Non Equivalent control group design. The population in this study is the entire 4th grade SD students in the district of Sumedang. The samples were taken using the purposive sampling technique so that two classes were selected as samples, namely students of class IV A SD N Sukaraja II as experimental class and students of grade IV C SD N sukaraja II as control class. The experimental class applies learning using the environment around the school, while the control class uses conventional learning methods in the classroom. The instruments used in this study include learning test and observation and documentation. The results of the study show that: (1) the use of the environment around the school can be done by bringing students to study outside the classroom by carrying out direct observation of living creatures and the environment. (2) the research results show the influence of environmental use on the learning outcomes of students of grade IV SD N Sukaraja II. This is demonstrated by an increase in the average score of pre-test posttest students who re-tested 60.10 increased to 84.87. And an improvement in the N-Gain average score for the experimental class was 59% including the fairly effective category. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the environment around the school in the learning process is sufficiently effective to improve the learning outcomes of students in IPAS subjects in students of the fourth grade in SD State Sukaraja II Sumedang. While use of conventional learning methods is less effective in improving students' learning outcome in the subject of IPAS in students in Class IV of SD N sukaraja II Sumedang.
