Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya aktivitas fisik pada siswa baik di kota maupun desa sehingga menyebabkan tingginya perilaku sedenter yang mana dipengaruhi oleh status ekonomi orang tua. Adapun faktor lain yang mempengaruhi perilaku sedenter anak yaitu lingkungan sekitar, pola asuh, dan latar belakang pekerjaan yang mempengaruhi peran orang tua dalam menunjang tumbuh kembang anak. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan level aktivitas fisik dan perilaku sedenter siswa berdasarkan wilayah domisili dan status ekonomi orang tua. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif deskripstif. Dalam penelitian ini melibatkan 6 sekolah dasar yang berada di kota dan desa di Kecamatan Indramayu dan Kecamatan Arahan. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu cluster random sampling sehingga didapatkan hasil dengan jumlah sampel 99 siswa, yang terdiri dari kelas V di kota maupun desa dengan minimal usia 10 tahun. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner PAQ-C, ASAQ, dan status sosial ekonomi orang tua. Analisis data menggunakan software SPSS melalui Uji Independent Sample T-Test dan Kruskal Wallis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan level aktivitas fisik siswa berdasarkan wilayah domisili, terdapat perbedaan perilaku sedenter siswa berdasarkan wilayah domisili, dan tidak terdapat perbedaan level aktivitas fisik dan perilaku sedenter siswa berdasarkan wilayah domisili dan status ekonomi orang tua. This research is motivated by the lack of physical activity among students in both cities and villages, which causes high levels of sedentary behavior which is influenced by the economic status of parents. Other factors that influence children's sedentary behavior are the surrounding environment, parenting style, and work background which influence the role of parents in supporting children's growth and development. The aim of this research was to determine differences in students' levels of physical activity and sedentary behavior based on their area of residence and parents' economic status. The method in this research uses descriptive quantitative research methods. This research involved 6 elementary schools in cities and villages in Indramayu District and Arahan District. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling so that results were obtained with a sample size of 99 students, consisting of class V in cities and villages with a minimum age of 10 years. Data was collected through PAQ-C, ASAQ questionnaires, and parents' socio-economic status. Data analysis used SPSS software through the Independent Sample T-Test and Kruskal Wallis. The results of the study showed that there were no differences in students' physical activity levels based on area of residence, there were differences in students' sedentary behavior based on area of residence, and there were no differences in students' levels of physical activity and sedentary behavior based on area of residence and parents' economic status.
