Abstract
MGMP is an intra-discipline teacher union which aims to improve the professionalism of teachers in a regional scale. However, MGMPs activities are limited to instructed operational activities designed from up top the education system, and not on the based on the needs or suggestions from the teacher. In Sumedang city, science MGMP employs the use of training videos to enhance member’s professionalism along with coaching programs, personal reflection encouragement, and peer group discussion. This study aims to explore the development of the members’s PCK as a result of MGMP activities. The activities were monitored during respiratory system subject. Results were measured through set of Core questions and interviews. Research subjects were 12 teachers from science JHS Sumedang MGMP. The results show that some aspects of PCK, i.e. purpose, content, and pedagogy increased categorically. Initial standing of the members enhanced to growing PCK grade, with the brighter member manage tyo achieve maturing PCK grade. The evaluating activity of the coaching was not significantly influential, as the before and after treatment shows similar result. Keywords: Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK), coaching video, respiratory system, CoRe Kegiatan MGMP merupakan salah satu kegiatan untuk meningkatan profesionalisme guru dalam skala regional, namun dalam pelaksanaannya, kegiatan MGMP masih terbatas pada kegiatan operasional dan bukan berdasarkan dari kebutuhan atau usulan dari guru. Khusus dalam rangkaian kegiatan MGMP IPA di kota Sumedang, peningkatan profesionalisme didukung dengan adanya kegiatan pelatihan coaching terhadap video dan belajar melalui proses refleksi personal dan diskusi dalam peer group. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimanakah perubahan PCK guru saat mengikuti kegiatan MGMP IPA SMP yang terukur melalui susunan pertanyaan dalam dokumen CoRe dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian berasal dari 12 orang guru peserta kegiatan MGMP dengan kajian materi pada sistem pernapasan. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa dalam aspek PCK tujuan, konten, dan pegagogi telah berhasil meningkatkan kategorial guru IPA dari awalnya hanya sebagian pada tahap pra PCK namun setelah mengikuti coaching video, hampir seluruh guru berada dalam tahap growing PCK dan ada satu orang yang malah bisa mencapai pada tahap maturing PCK. Pada aspek evaluasi peran kegiatan coaching tidak terlalu dirasakan karena baik sebelum ataupun setelah coaching, guru sudah bisa melaksanakan evaluasi dengan baik.
