Abstract

Alur merupakan salah satu unsur intrinsik yang menjelaskan tentang jalannya suatu cerita. John Ronald Reuel Tolkien menyajikan alur cerita yang menarik dalam roman “Der kleine Hobbit”. Penyajian alur cerita ini membuat pembaca sadar akan pentingnya jalan cerita dalam sebuah roman. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: 1) Jenis alur cerita dalam roman “Der kleine Hobbit” karya John Ronald Reuel Tolkien. 2) Tahapan alur yang terdapat dalam roman “Der kleine Hobbit”. 3) Makna dari jenis alur cerita yang terdapat dalam roman “Der kleine Hobbit”. 4) Makna dari tahapan alur yang terdapat dalam roman “Der kleine Hobbit”. Metode penelitian yang digunakan, yaitu metode analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Jenis alur cerita dalam roman “Der kleine Hobbit” adalah alur campuran yang terdiri dari alur progresif dan alur sorot-balik. 2) Tahapan alur dalam roman ini dimulai dengan pengenalan tokoh utama pada bab 1, lalu berlanjut ke bagian klimaks yang dapat dilihat pada bab 2 hingga bab 17, kemudian bagian penyelesaian masalah dan akhir cerita terdapat pada bab 18 dan 19. 3) Alur campuran memiliki makna bahwa sebuah cerita menyajikan dua jenis alur secara bergantian, yaitu alur progresif dan alur sorot-balik (flash-back). 4) Tahapan alur dalam sebuah roman memperlihatkan struktur dan isi cerita secara keseluruhan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disarankan agar pembelajar bahasa Jerman lebih mendalami tentang alur cerita yang merupakan salah satu unsur intrinsik penting dalam sebuah roman. The plot is one of the intrinsic elements that explains the course of a story. John Ronald Reuel Tolkien presents an interesting plot in the novel “Der kleine Hobbit”. The presentation of this plot makes the reader realize the importance of the storyline in a novel. The aim of this research are to find out: 1) The type of plot in the novel “Der kleine Hobbit” by John Ronald Reuel Tolkien. 2) The plot steps contained in the novel “Der kleine Hobbit”. 3) The meaning of the type of plot contained in the novel “Der kleine Hobbit”. 4) The meaning of the plot steps contained in the novel “Der kleine Hobbit”. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method of analysis. The results of this research indicate that: 1) The type of plot in the novel “Der kleine Hobbit” is a mixed plot consisting of progressive plot and flash-back plot.  2) The plot steps in this novel begin with the introduction of the main character in chapter 1, then continue to the climax which can be seen in chapter 2 to chapter 17, then the problem solving part and the end of the story are found in chapters 18 and 19. 3) Mixed plot means that a story presents two types of plot alternately, namely progressive plot and flash-back plot. 4) The plot steps in a novel reveal the overall structure and content of the story. Based on the results of the research, it is recommended that German learners learn more about the plot, which is one of the important intrinsic elements in a novel. Die Handlung ist eine der intrinsischen Struktur, die den Verlauf einer Geschichte erklärt. John Ronald Reuel Tolkien präsentiert in dem Roman “Der kleine Hobbit” eine interessante Handlung. Die Präsentation dieses Handlungsstrangs macht dem Leser klar, wie wichtig der Ablauf einer Geschichte in einem Roman ist. Die Ziele dieser Untersuchung sind es, herauszufinden: 1) Handlungstyp des Romans “Der kleine Hobbit” von John Ronald Reuel Tolkien. 2) Handlungsphasen des Romans “Der kleine Hobbit”. 3) Die Bedeutung der Handlungstypen des Romans “Der kleine Hobbit”. 4) Die Bedeutung der Handlungsphasen des Romans “Der kleine Hobbit”. Diese Untersuchung verwendet eine qualitative deskriptive Analysemethode. Die Ergebnisse der Untersuchung zeigen, dass 1) die Handlung des Romans “Der kleine Hobbit” eine Mix-Handlung ist, die aus einer progressiven Handlung und einer Flashback-Handlung besteht. 2) die Handlungsphasen in diesem Roman mit der Einführung der Hauptfigur in Kapitel 1 beginnen, führen dann zum Höhepunkt, der in Kapitel 2 bis Kapitel 17 zu sehen ist, und endet in den Kapiteln 18 und 19 mit der Lösung des Problems und dem Ende der Geschichte. 3) Mix-Handlung bedeutet, dass eine Geschichte zwei Handlungstypen abwechselnd präsentiert, nämlich eine progressive Handlung und eine Flashback-Handlung. 4) die Handlungsphasen in einem Roman verraten die Struktur und den Inhalt der gesamten Geschichte. Auf der Grundlage der Ergebnisse dieser Untersuchung wird empfohlen, dass Deutschlerner mehr über die Handlung lernen, die eines der wichtigsten Elemente in einem Roman ist.
