Abstract
Terdapat banyak miskonsepsi yang terjadi karena kurangnya pemahaman siswa terhadap tiga level representasi kimia. Disisi lain, ditemukan pula bahwa keterampilan proses sains (KPS) siswa masih tergolong dalam kategori rendah. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh strategi pembelajaran intertekstual dengan Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) pada sub materi kenaikan titik didih yang berpotensi meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan Keterampilan Proses Sains Siswa (KPS) siswa. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu research and development yang dibatasi hanya untuk lima tahap pertama yaitu tahap penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi, perencanaan, pengembangan produk awal, uji produk awal, dan revisi produk utama. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa format kesesuaian antara; indikator penguasaan konsep dengan Kompetensi Dasar (KD) pengetahuan dan deskripsi konsep, indikator Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) dengan Kompetensi Dasar (KD) keterampilan dan deskripsi Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS), serta kegiatan pembelajaran model POE dengan indikator penguasaan konsep dan indikator KPS yang diberi review oleh 5 orang dosen pendidikan kimia. Strategi pembelajaran yang dikembangkan adalah pembelajaran yang menggunakan hubungan intertekstual dalam langkah pembelajaran POE yang berpotensi meningkatkan aspek penguasaan konsep dan KPS siswa. Hasil pengembangan menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran intertekstual dengan POE pada sub materi kenaikan titik didih yang berpotensi meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan KPS siswa dinyatakan sesuai dengan indikator penguasaan konsep dan indikator KPS dengan beberapa saran perbaikan. There are many misconceptions that occur due to students' lack of understanding of the three levels of chemistry representation. On the other hand, it was also found that students' science process skills (SPS) were still in the low category. Therefore, this study aims to obtain an intertextual learning strategy with Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) on the sub-material of boiling point elevation which has the potential to improve students' mastery of concepts and science process skills (SPS). The method used in this study is research and development which is limited to only the first five stages, namely the research and information gathering stage, planning, initial product development, initial product testing, and revision of the main product. The instrument used is a format of conformity between; indicators of concept mastery with basic competencies of knowledge and concept descriptions, indicators of science process skills (SPS) with basic competencies of skills and descriptions of science process skills (SPS), and learning activities of the POE’s model with indicators of concept mastery and SPS indicators which were reviewed by 5 chemistry education lecturers. The learning strategy developed is learning that uses intertextual relations in the POE learning steps that have the potential to improve aspects of students' conceptual mastery and SPS. The results of the development indicate that the intertextual learning strategy with POE on the boiling point elevation sub-material that has the potential to improve students' conceptual mastery and SPS is stated in accordance with the indicators of conceptual mastery and SPS indicators with several suggestions for improvement.
