Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa game digital pada materi kimia unsur golongan alkali khususnya pada topik sifat fisika dan kimia logam alkali. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan desain Development Reasearch dan model ADDIE, dilaksanakan dalam lima tahap yaitu Analyze, Design, Develop, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan pada pengumpulan data adalah lembar identifikasi media, lembar review kelayakan ahli dan praktisi, dan lembar angket tanggapan peserta didik. Game yang dikembangkan memiliki karakteristik yakni ber-genre RPG (Role Playing Games), bertemakan sekolah, serta memuat materi kimia unsur golongan alkali khususnya pada topik sifat fisika dan kimia logam alkali. Karakteristik media yang digunakan meliputi video yang memperlihatkan sifat fisika (meliputi tampilan logam alkali, tingkat kekerasan logam alkali, kecenderungan titik leleh pada logam alkali disertai dengan ilustrasi logam sesium yang meleleh ketika digenggam, kecenderungan massa jenis pada logam alkali disertai ilustrasi logam natrium yang mengapung di air, dan warna nyala logam alkali), video yang memperlihatkan sifat kimia (meliputi kecenderungan energi ionisasi, percobaan reaksi kimia logam alkali (Litium, Natrium, dan Kalium) dengan oksigen dan air), poster yang menampilkan persamaan umum reaksi logam alkali dengan halogen disertai grafis reaksi Natrium dengan gas klorin, animasi yang menggambarkan jari-jari atom dan elektron valensi pada logam alkali, serta visualisasi percakapan berupa teks yang menjelaskan reaksi kimia, reaktivitas, dan juga warna nyala pada logam alkali. Berdasarkan hasil review, game dikategorikan layak dari segi konten karena materi yang disajikan tidak menimbulkan miskonsepsi dan materi yang disampaikan disertai dengan data faktual, dan sudah dikategorikan layak dari segi media karena kemudahan pengoperasian game dan penggunaan multimedia yang sudah sesuai sehingga memperkuat konten pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil tanggapan peserta didik, game yang dikembangkan mendapatkan atensi yang baik. Kemudahan pengoperasian mendukung peserta didik untuk belajar mandiri. This study aims to develop a digital game product focusing on the chemistry of alkali metals, specifically on their physical and chemical properties. The research utilized a qualitative approach with a Development Research design using the ADDIE model, which includes five stages: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. The data collection instruments used in this study were media identification sheets, expert and practitioner feasibility review forms, and student response questionnaires. The developed game is characterized as an RPG (Role-Playing Game) set in a school theme, integrating content on the chemistry of alkali metals, particularly their physical and chemical properties. The media characteristics include videos demonstrating physical properties (such as the appearance of alkali metals, hardness levels, melting point trends with an illustration of cesium melting when held, density trends with an illustration of sodium floating on water, and flame colors of alkali metals), videos demonstrating chemical properties (including ionization energy trends, chemical reaction experiments of alkali metals—Lithium, Sodium, and Potassium—with oxygen and water), posters showing general reaction equations of alkali metals with halogens with graphical representations of sodium reacting with chlorine gas, animations depicting atomic radii and valence electrons of alkali metals, and visual conversation texts explaining chemical reactions, reactivity, and flame colors of alkali metals. Based on the expert reviews, the game is deemed feasible in terms of content as it presents accurate information without misconceptions and includes factual data. The game is also considered feasible in terms of media due to its ease of operation and the appropriate use of multimedia, which enhances the learning content. According to student feedback, the developed game received positive attention, and its ease of use supports independent learning among students.
