Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh strategi pembelajaran berbasis intertekstual dengan model predict-observe-explain (POE) pada materi korosi yang berpotensi meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan proses sains (KPS) peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berupa metode penelitian dan pengembangan yang mengadaptasi dari model Borg & Gall. Penelitian yang dilakukan dibatasi hanya untuk lima tahap pertama yaitu tahap penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi, tahap perencanaan produk, tahap pengembangan draf awal produk, tahap uji produk awal dan tahap revisi produk awal. Penelitian ini menggunakan tujuh buah instrumen penelitian, diantaranya : 1) instrumen uji kesesuaian antara kompetensi dasar aspek pengetahuan dengan indikator penguasaan konsep; 2) instrumen uji kesesuaian antara kompetensi dasar aspek keterampilan dengan indikator KPS; 3) instrumen uji kesesuaian CP elemen pemahaman kimia dengan alur tujuan pembelajaran (ATP); 4) instrumen uji kesesuaian CP elemen keterampilan proses dengan ATP; 5) instrumen uji kesesuaian indikator penguasaan konsep/ATP dengan deskripsi konsep; 6) instrumen uji kesesuaian indikator KPS/ATP dengan deskripsi KPS; dan 7) instrumen uji kesesuaian antara kegiatan pembelajaran dengan indikator penguasaan konsep/ATP dan indikator KPS/ATP. Instrumen-instrumen penelitian ini dilakukan review ahli oleh tiga orang dosen pendidikan kimia dan satu orang dosen kimia dari FPMIPA UPI. Strategi pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berupa pembelajaran yang menghubungkan tiga level representasi kimia dalam hubungan intertekstual dengan langkah-langkah pembelajaran POE. Secara keseluruhan, hasil review ahli menunjukkan strategi pembelajaran berbasis intertekstual dengan model predict-observe-explain (POE) pada materi korosi yang berpotensi meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan proses sains (KPS) peserta didik telah sesuai dengan indikator penguasaan konsep/ATP dan indikator KPS/ATP dengan beberapa saran perbaikan. Kata kunci : Strategi pembelajaran berbasis intertekstual, predict-observe-explain (POE), korosi, penguasaan konsep, dan keterampilan proses sains (KPS) ABSTRACT This study aims to obtain an intertextual-based learning strategy with predict-observe-explain (POE) model on corrosion material, which has the potential to improve concept mastery and science process skills (SPS) of students. The method used in this research is a research and development method that adapts the Borg & Gall model. The research conducted was limited to the first five stages, namely the research and information gathering stage, the product planning stage, the initial product draft development stage, the initial product test stage and the initial product revision stage. This research used seven research instruments, including: 1) conformity test instrument between basic competencies of knowledge aspects with concept mastery indicators; 2) conformity test instrument between basic competencies of skill aspects with SPS indicators; 3) conformity test instrument for CP elements of chemical understanding with learning objective flow (ATP); 4) conformity test instrument for CP elements of process skills with ATP; 5) conformity test instrument for concept mastery indicators/ATP with concept descriptions; 6) conformity test instrument for SPS indicators/ATP with SPS descriptions; and 7) conformity test instrument between learning activities with concept mastery indicators/ATP and SPS indicators/ATP. The research instruments were expertly reviewed by three chemistry education lecturers and one chemistry lecturer from FPMIPA UPI. The learning strategy developed is learning that connects three levels of chemical representation in an intertextual relationship with POE learning steps. Overall, the results of the expert review showed that the intertextual-based learning strategy with the predict-observe-explain (POE) model on corrosion material, which has the potential to improve concept mastery and science process skills (SPS) of students was in accordance with the indicators of concept mastery/ATP and SPS/ATP indicators with some suggestions for improvement.
