Abstract
Pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia meliputi empat aspek keterampilan berbahasa. Salah satu aspek keterampilan berbahasa yaitu menulis. Dalam proses pembelajaran, media serta metode yang digunakan oleh guru dapat mempengaruhi keberhasilan siswa dalam menulis. Penelitian ini fokus pada penggunaan media serta model pembelajaran. Media yang digunakan yaitu media pop-up dan model pembelajaran SAVI. Rumusan masalahnya yaitu, bagaimanakah bentuk perencanaan, penerapan, dan hasil pada siklus 1, 2, dan 3 dalam pembelajaran menulis teks berita melalui penggunaan media pop-up dengan model SAVI?. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perencanaan, penerapan, dan hasil pada siklus 1, 2, dan 3 dalam pembelajaran menulis teks berita melalui penggunaan media pop-up dengan model SAVI. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitiannya yaitu siswa kelas VIII-G SMP Negeri 26 Bandung. Teknik pengumpulan datanya berupa wawancara, angket, jurnal siswa, lembar observasi, catatan lapangan, serta tes menulis. Hasil temuan penelitian yaitu hasil pembelajaran menulis teks berita melalui penggunaan media pop-up dengan model SAVI selalu mengalami peningkatan pada setiap siklusnya. Nilai rata-rata siswa menulis teks berita yaitu siklus 1 74,91, siklus 2 78,25, dan siklus 3 82,14. Pada siklus 1 siswa dengan kategori baik sekali sebanyak 2 orang (6,45%). Siswa dengan kategori baik sebanyak 9 orang (29,03%). Siswa dengan kategori cukup sebanyak 18 orang (58,06%). Sedangkan siswa dengan kategori kurang sebanyak 2 orang (6,45%). Pada siklus 2 perolehan nilai siswa menulis teks berita dengan kategori baik sekali sebanyak 5 orang (15,15%). Siswa dengan kategori baik sebanyak 13 orang (39,39%). Siswa dengan kategori cukup sebanyak 14 orang (42,42%). Sedangkan siswa dengan kategori kurang sebanyak 1 orang (3,03%). Pada siklus 3 perolehan nilai siswa menulis teks berita dengan kategori baik sekali sebanyak 10 orang (31,25%). Siswa dengan kategori baik sebanyak 15 orang (46,87%). Siswa dengan kategori cukup sebanyak 7 orang (21,87%). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian mengenai pembelajaran menulis teks berita melalui penggunaan media pop-up dengan model SAVI, maka peneliti menyampaikan beberapa saran sebagai berikut. 1) Penggunaan media pop-up dengan model SAVI efektif untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran menulis teks berita. Oleh karena itu guru disarankan untuk menggunakan media serta metode ini dalam pembelajaran menulis teks berita. 2) Pemberian tema yang menarik menjadi salah satu aspek yang penting dan mendorong minat siswa untuk menulis teks berita. Tema yang diberikan sebaiknya tema terhangat untuk dijadikan sebuah teks berita. 3) Perlu dilakukan penelitian mengenai penggunaan media pop-up dengan model SAVI dalam pembelajaran menulis teks-teks lainnya. EFFORTS TO IMPROVE THE ABILITY TO WRITE TEXT THROUGH THE USE OF NEWS MEDIA POP-UP WITH MODEL SAVI (Classroom Action Research on Eighth Grade Students of SMP Negeri 26 Bandung Academic Year 2013/2014) Learning Indonesian covers four aspects of language skills. One of the aspects of language skills, namely writing. In the learning process, the media and methods used by teachers can affect student success in writing. This study focuses on the use of media and learning model. The media used is a pop-up media and learning model SAVI. The formulation of the problem, namely, how is the form of planning, implementation, and results in cycle 1, 2, and 3 in the teaching of writing a text message through the use of pop-up media with SAVI models ?. The purpose of this study was to determine the planning, implementation, and results in cycle 1, 2, and 3 in the teaching of writing a text message through the use of pop-up media with SAVI models. The research method used is the method of action research (PTK). The research subject-G eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 26 Bandung. Data collection techniques such as interviews, questionnaires, student journals, observation sheets, field notes, and writing tests. The findings of this research is the result of learning to write a text message through the use of pop-up media with SAVI models always increase at each cycle. The average value of the news texts students write cycle 1 74.91, 78.25 cycle 2 and cycle 3 82.14. In cycle 1 students with excellent categories by 2 people (6.45%). Students with good category by 9 people (29.03%). Students with sufficient category as many as 18 people (58.06%). While students with less category by 2 people (6.45%). In cycle 2 grades students write a text message with both categories once as many as 5 people (15.15%). Students with good category as many as 13 people (39.39%). Students with sufficient category as many as 14 people (42.42%). While students with less category by 1 person (3.03%). In cycle 3 grades students write text with the category of good news once as many as 10 people (31.25%). Students with good category as many as 15 people (46.87%). Students with sufficient category of 7 people (21.87%). Based on the results of research on learning to write text news media through the use of pop-ups with the SAVI models, the researchers present some suggestions as follows. 1) The use of pop-up media with SAVI models effectively to enhance learning news writing text. Therefore, teachers are advised to use this method in the media as well as learning to write a text message. 2) An interesting theme became one of the important aspects and encourage students' interest to write a text message. Given theme theme should be used as a text for the hottest news. 3) Need to do research on media use pop-ups with the SAVI models in learning to write other texts.
