Abstract

The back ground of this research is the importance of improving gross motor skills of children through the medium of learning with the ball. The development of gross motor skills due to lack of attention and still follow the old habits of TK, children only morning exercise al one. Learning activities in TK Pupuk Kujang Cleaver less varied, children still lack confidence in learning activities in the field, the need for a stimulus to improve gross motor skills of children through learning to play the media sphere. The action research method Classroom Action Research (CAR) as a cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection followed the next cycle. PTK aims to improveand enhance gross motor skills of children in group A2 in learning to play the ball whichis collaborative media between researchers and colleagues with data collected through observation, field notes and documentation. The results showed no in crease in gross motor skills children to perform locomotor movement (walking, running, and jumping) and non-locomotor movement (rotate the body, bend the arms and legs) and manipulative motion (throwing and catching a ball). Recommendations research is expectedof teacherstrying to findandimplementa variety ofstrategiesandmethodsaccording to the needs of children. Besides the provision of tools and learning resources that attract children more enthusiastic in participating in learning activities. Further optimize theuse of mediavaried, interesting and fun so that learning objectives can beachieved.
