Abstract
----- The scientific approach includes learning that is designed to be able to make students active in forming competencies in attitudes, knowledge and skills. The scientific approach is implemented in all learning processes, one of which is science learning. Science learning is considered important in child development because children get direct learning or experience according to what they have learned the truth. Science process skills are skills that involve all students' abilities in obtaining knowledge based on phenomena. The purpose of this study was to analyze the significant differences in science process skills between before and after the scientific approach in learning. The research method used is quantitative with the type of pre-experiment research and One Group Pretest-Posttest Design research design with research subjects as many as 18 group B children aged 5-6 years in one of the kindergartens located in Purwakarta. Data analysis used is descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results showed that there was a significant difference between before and after the application of the scientific approach to the child's learning process, by obtaining a paired sample t test value of 0.001 <0.05 with a significance level of 5%. This is reinforced by the N-Gain test value of 0.84, which is included in the high category.
