Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji materi IPS yang terdapat dalam buku tematik terpadu kurikulum 2013 kelas IV sekolah dasar. Pemilihan kelas IV dikarenakan awal implementasi pembelajaran tematik terpadu pada kurikulum 2013 di kelas tinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis wacana khususnya analisis konten dan data yang diperoleh melalui analisis teks dan studi dokumentasi. Yang menjadi objek dalam penelitian ini adalah buku tematik terpadu kurikulum 2013 kelas IV sekolah dasar serta dokumen kurikulum 2013. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan terdiri atas tiga alur kegiatan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan kajian materi IPS pada buku tematik terpadu kurikulum 2013 kelas IV sekolah dasar secara keseluruhan telah menggambarkan ruang lingkup materi IPS kelas IV sekolah dasar yang terdapat dalam kurikulum. Ruang lingkup materi IPS di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar menurut Kurikulum 2013 yang terdapat dalam buku temati terpadu adalah: (1) manusia, tempat, dan lingkungan, (2) waktu, keberlanjutan, dan perubahan, (3) sistem sosial dan budaya (4) perilaku ekonomi dan kesejahteraan. Materi IPS tersebut terdiri dari dua bahan kajian pokok yaitu pengetahuan sosial dan sejarah. Bahan kajian pengetahuan sosial mencakup ilmu sosial, ilmu bumi, ekonomi dan pemerintahan. Bahan kajian sejarah meliputi perkembangan masyarakat Indonesia sejak masa lampau hingga kini. Keruntutan materi IPS dalam penelitian ini ialah materi IPS yang selaras, bersesuaian dan terstruktur dengan kurikulum dan perkembangan peserta didik. Bahan kajian materi IPS diorganisasikan dari bahan pelajaran yang dekat dan sederhana disekitar anak ke yang lebih luas dan kompleks. Penyajian kedalaman materi IPS dalam buku teks tematik kurikulum 2013 kelas IV dikaitkan dengan pengetahuan siswa. Tingkat kesulitan materi disesuaikan dengan perkembangan peserta didik yang berada pada tahap “concrete-operational”, sehingga memberikan kemudahan pada siswa dalam memahami materi. Keluasan materi pada buku teks tematik kurikulum 2013 kelas IV telah memenuhi tuntutan minimal yang ada dalam Kompetensi Inti dan Kompotensi Dasar. Pemaparan materi IPS menyajikan pengetahuan sosial yang global dengan pemberian contoh nyata, dipersepsi mampu menambah wawasan siswa dan guru tentang kajian materi IPS secara lebih kompleks. Peneltian ini merekomendasikan penyajian materi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan tema-tema memiliki kecenderungan tumpang tindih materi antar jenjang pendidikan sehingga kecenderungan tersebut perlu menjadi perhatian lebih lanjut dalam penyusunan materi dengan pendekatan tematik. Selection of class IV due to the initial implementation of integrated thematic learning in 2013 in the high-class curriculum. This study used a qualitative approach with a especially method of discourse analysis and content analysis of data obtained through the analysis of texts and documentary study. the object of this research is integrated thematic curriculum books fourth grade of primary school in 2013 and 2013. The curriculum document data analysis technique used consists of three flow of activities: data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions / verification. This research reveals the study material in the book IPS integrated thematic curriculum 2013 fourth grade elementary school as a whole has described the scope of the fourth grade social studies material contained in the elementary school curriculum. The scope of the IPS material in class IV according to the Elementary School Curriculum 2013 contained in the integrated temati book are: (1) people, places, and environments, (2) time, continuity and change, (3) social and cultural systems (4) economic behavior and well-being. IPS material is composed of two basic study materials are social and historical knowledge. Social science study materials include social sciences, geography, economics and government. Materials include the historical study of the development of Indonesian society from the past until now. Keruntutan IPS material in this study is the IPS material are aligned, and the corresponding structured curriculum and development of learners. Study materials IPS material is organized from the teaching materials and simple close around the child to a more extensive and complex. Depth presentation of the material in the textbook IPS 2013 class IV thematic curriculum is associated with students' knowledge. The level of difficulty of the material adapted to the development of learners who are at the stage of "concrete-operational", giving the students in understanding the material. Breadth of the material in the textbook thematic curriculum 2013 class IV has met the minimum requirement in the Basic Core Competence and competency. Exposure of the material IPS presents a global social knowledge by giving concrete examples, perceived able to broaden the students and teachers about the study of more complex social studies materials. This study recommends the presentation of learning materials by using themes have a tendency to overlap the material between the level of education so that the trend needs to be further attention in the preparation of the material with a thematic approach Keywords: Learning Materials IPS, Textbooks, Curriculum 2013.
