Abstract
----- This study aims to design and develop a phishing simulation educational game designed to raise awareness of phishing attacks among internet users. This study uses the type of Research and Development (R&D) research and uses the Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC) development model, this model was chosen because it allows game development systematically and structured. The Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC) model consists of six stages: initiation, pre-production, production, alpha testing, beta testing, and release. The initiation stage begins with problem identification, needs identification and target identification. In the pre-production stage, the game design is designed based on initial findings, with a focus on creating flowcharts, storyboards and collecting assets. In the production stage, implementation is carried out, all elements that have been designed are developed into a product that can be tested. Testing is carried out in two main stages: alpha testing and beta testing. The results of alpha testing using the black-box testing method show that all game functionality named PhisTrap can function properly without any significant bugs and can be continued to the beta testing stage. In the beta testing stage, the game was tested by external users and showed satisfactory results, namely the game ran smoothly, and the tester could easily understand the instructions and scenarios given. Some feedback was given and has been implemented in the game. However, this research has only reached the beta testing stage, so further testing has not been carried out as needed to ensure the overall quality and feasibility of the game. Therefore, this game cannot be declared ready to be released to the public.
