Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan blended learning dengan menggunakan model Jigsaw untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi siswa pada materi perubahan lingkungan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan quasi experimental dengan rancangan non-equivalent control group design pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas X SMA sebanyak 72 orang. Data diperoleh dari hasil pretest dan posttest kemampuan komunikasi tulisan dan rubrik observasi untuk menilai kemampuan komunikasi lisan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi siswa yang berbeda signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi pada kelas eksperimen termasuk dalam kategori sedang dengan skor N-gain sebesar 0,46 setelah pembelajaran blended learning menggunakan model Jigsaw untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi. Berdasarkan penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan blended learning dengan model Jigsaw mampu meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi siswa pada materi perubahan lingkungan pada rentang capaian N-gain dengan kategori sedang. Kata kunci: Blended learning, model pembelajaran Jigsaw, kemampuan komunikasi, perubahan lingkungan. ABSTRACT This research is aimed to analyze the application of blended learning by using Jigsaw model to improving the students’ communication skills in the environmental change materials. This research method used quasi experiment with pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. The reseach sample is 72 students of X grade senior high school. The data were obtained from the results of the pretest and posttest of written communication skills and observation rubric for assessed verbal communication. The result showed that there was an increase in students communication skills there is significantly different between the experimental class and the control class. The increase in communication skills in the experimental class is included in the medium category with an N-gain score of 0,46 after applying application of blended learning using the Jigsaw model to improve students communication skills. Based on this research, it could be concluded that the application of blended learning using the Jigsaw model is capable of to improve students communication skills on environmental change material in the range of medium N-gain achievement.
