Abstract
Fenomena impostor merupakan ketidakyakinan individu mengenai kecerdasan dan kompetensinya sehingga menimbulkan pandangan bahwa orang lain salah dalam menilai dirinya yang ditandai dengan fake, discount, dan luck subscales. Upaya yang dapat membantu mengatasi fenomena impostor adalah pemberian layanan konseling kelompok dengan teknik restrukturisasi kognitif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis: (1) profil fenomena impostor mahasiswa, (2) rumusan program konseling kelompok dengan teknik restrukturisasi kognitif untuk mengurangi fenomena impostor mahasiswa, serta (3) menguji kelayakan konseling kelompok dengan teknik restrukturisasi kognitif untuk mengurangi fenomena impostor mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mixed method dengan desain the embedded design. Partisipan penelitian berjumlah 593 dengan sampel yang diambil sebanyak 10 mahasiswa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024 dipilih berdasarkan kriteria. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah “instrumen fenomena impostor” dengan menggunakan skala model Likert dan wawancara. Data kualitatif dianalisis dengan analisis tematik dan data kuantitatif dianalisis dengan teknik statistika deksriptif serta statistika inferensial dengan metode uji statistik non parametrik Wilcoxon. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) fenomena impostor mahasiswa sebagian besar berada pada kategori frequently have, (2) rumusan program konseling kelompok dengan teknik restrukturisasi kognitif dinyatakan valid untuk dilaksanakan dilapangan, dan (3) konseling kelompok dengan teknik restrukturisasi kognitif teruji kelayakannya untuk mengurangi fenomena impostor mahasiswa. Implikasi bagi Bimbingan dan Konseling dapat mengimplementasikan pemberian layanan konseling kelompok di Perguruan Tinggi dengan menyesuaikan need assessment mahasiswa. The impostor phenomenon is an individual’s lack of confidence about his intelligence and competence, leading to the perception that others are wrong in their assessment of themselves, which is characterized by fake, discount, and luck subscales. The effort that can help overcome the impostor phenomenon is the provision of group counseling services with cognitive restructuring techniques. This study aims to analyze: (1) profile of the student impostor phenomenon, (2) formulating of group counseling programs with cognitive restructuring techniques to reduce the student impostor phenomenon, and (3) test the feasibility of group counseling with cognitive restructuring techniques to reduce the student impostor phenomenon. This research uses a mixed method approach with the embedded design. The research participants totaled 593 with a sample of 10 students of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia in the academic year 2023/2024 selected based on criteria. The instruments used were “impostor phenomenon instruments” using Likert model scales and interviews. Qualitative data were analyzed using thematic analysis, and quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics with the nonparametric Wilcoxon. The findings reveal that: (1) impostor phenomenon of students are mostly in the frequently have category, (2) the formulation of group counseling programs with cognitive restructuring techniques is declared valid to be implemented in the field, and (3) group counseling with cognitive restructuring techniques tested its feasibility to reduce the phenomenon of student impostors. Implications for guidance and counseling can implement the provision of group counseling services in college institutions by adjusting the need assessment of students.
