Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap sikap Shinzou Abe sebagai perwakilan Jepang di dunia internasional melalui dua pidato permintaan maaf beliau kepada negara korban kejahatan perang oleh Jepang di masa lalu, terutama dalam penelitian ini adalah negara-negara ASEAN dan Amerika Serikat. Untuk mengungkap sikap Shinzou Abe, penelitian ini menggunakan kerangka analisis wacana kritis model Van Dijk (2015), proses transitivitas dari Halliday (2014) dan teori motivasi manusia dari McClelland (1967). Terdapat dua pertanyaan penelitian yang menjadi fokus penelitian kualitatif ini, yaitu; (1) Bagaimana realisasi proses transitivitas di dalam pidato permintaan maaf atas kejahatan perang oleh Jepang; (2) Motif apa yang ada di balik pidato permintaan maaf atas kejahatan perang oleh Jepang. Dua pidato yang diambil dari laman resmi arsip Kementerian Hubungan Luar Negeri Jepang digunakan sebagai data dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bagaimana Shinzou Abe bersikap yang dipengaruhi oleh kognisi Shinzou Abe yang memiliki latar belakang ideologi politik liberal. Dimulai dari hasil analisis teksnya, secara struktur makro Shinzou Abe membawakan tema sesuai tema acara yang beliau hadiri, kemudian diturunkan ke topik yang dibahas dalam pidatonya. Topik kedua pidato tersebut sama-sama mebahas tentang hubungan antar negara tersebut. Adapun struktur mikro, menunjukkan adanya perbedaan dominasi proses transitivitas, pidato pertama didominasi proses perilaku, sedangkan pidato kedua didominasi proses relasional. Terakhir, konteks yang dibawa dalam pidato meliki kesamaan yaitu tentang hubungan antar negara tersebut. Namun memiliki motif yang berbeda, pidato pertama didominasi motif kebutuhan berprestasi, sedangkan pidato kedua didominasi motif kebutuhan afiliasi. This study aims to reveal Shinzou Abe's attitude as Japan's representative in the international world through his two apology speeches to the victims of war crimes by Japan in the past, especially in this study are the ASEAN countries and the United States. To reveal Shinzou Abe's attitude, the study uses the framework of Van Dijk's critical discourse analysis model (2015), Halliday's transitivity process (2014) and McClelland's human motivation theory. (1967). There are two research questions that are the focus of this qualitative researcher, namely: (1) How the process of transitivity is realized in the speech of apology for war crimes by Japan; (2) What motives are behind the speeches of apologies for war crime by Japan. Two speeches taken from the official site of the archives of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs are used as data in this study. The results showed how Shinzou Abe behaved influenced by the cognitive background of Shinzo Abe who had a liberal political ideology. Starting from the results of his text analysis, Shinzou Abe's macro-structure brought themes according to the theme of the event he attended, then brought them down to the topics discussed in his speech. The topics of both speeches discuss the relationship between the two countries. As far as the microstructure is concerned, it shows that there are differences in the dominance of the transitivity process, the first speech is dominated by the behavioral process, while the second speech dominates the relational process. However, it has a different motive, the first speech is dominated by the need for achievement, while the second speech dominates by the needs for affiliation.
