Abstract
Perkembangan pariwisata di kota Bandung dewasa ini mulai berkembang menggunakan model sustainable tourism. Dalam sustainable tourism terdapat tujuh dimensi yang mewakili sosial, lingkungan dan ekonomi. Dalam dimensi sosial terdapat social cost dan community participation. Dalam pengembangan “kukuyaan” dan arum jeram di sungai Cikapundung akan memperhatikan faktor masyarakat yang dilihat melalui dua hal tersebut. Sehingga dengan diketahui tingkat keberadaan social cost dan community participation pada masyarakat bantaran sungai Cikapundung akan membentuk kesadaran masyarakat terkait pengembangan pariwisata yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif verifikatif. Melalui metode tersebut akan didapat hasil penelitian secara deskripsi mengenai bagaimana social cost dan community participation di masyarakat bantaran sungai Cikapundung terkait pengembangan kegiatan “kukuyaan” dan arum jeram. Selain itu juga akan diketahui tingkat hubungan antar variabel yaitu, social cost dan community participation dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan analisis data korelasi. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini didapat melalui kuisioner, wawancara informal, tinjauan pustaka dan observasi. Dari hasil penelitian ini diketahui bahwa social cost berada pada tingkat yang rendah sehingga tidak terdapat dampak negatif secara social dan community participation berada pada tingkat tinggi yang berarti partisipasi masyarakat berada pada level yang baik. Diketahui juga bahwa social cost dan community participation dalam penelitian ini terdapat hubungan yang kuat. Kata Kunci : Pariwisata berkelanjutan, Social Cost, Community Participation, The development of tourism in the city today began to develop sustainable tourism model. In sustainable tourism, there are seven dimensions that represent the social, environmental and economic. In the social dimension there are social cost and community participation. The development of "kukuyaan" and river rafting in Cikapundung will based by these two things. With the known existence of the social cost and the level of community participation in the communities along the river Cikapundung will shape public awareness related to sustainable tourism development. This study uses descriptive verification research methods. Through this method we can obtain a description about how social cost and community participation in resident along the river Cikapundung. Also another things that will know in this researches is correlation between social cost and community participation based on correlation analysis data. The data used in this researches obtained through questionnaires, informal interviews, literature review and observation. From the results of this research note social cost is at a low level so that there is no negative impact of social and community participation is at a high level which means that community participation is at a good level. Note also that the social cost and community participation in this research contained a strong relationship. Keywords: Sustainable Tourism, Social Cost, Community Participation
