Abstract
Daya tahan aerobik merupakan kemampuan seseorang melaksanakan gerak dengan seluruh tubuh dalam waktu lama tanpa mengalami kelelahan yang berarti. Kelelahan dapat terjadi pada pelari jarak jauh karena daya tahan aerobik yang kurang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan pengaruh constant intensity endurance training dengan low intensity interval training terhadap peningkatan daya tahan aerobik middle class runner. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah ekperimen dengan desain penelitian two grup pretest-postest design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah komunitas lari Jong Bobar. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dengan kriteria tertentu sehingga didapat sebanyak 10 orang yang dibagi kedalam dua kelompok yaitu kelompok constant intensity endurance training dan kelompok low intensity interval training dengan menggunakan ordinal pairing ABBA, perlakuan diberikan sebanyak 12 kali pertemuan. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu tes lari 2,4 km untuk mengukur tingkat VO2max. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode constant intensity endurance training dan metode low intensity interval training berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan daya tahan aerobik middle class runner. Selain itu, diketahui hasil dari perbandingan menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan pengaruh yang signifikan antara metode constant intensity endurance training dengan low intensity interval training terhadap peinigkatan daya tahan aerobik middle class runner namun, constant intensity endurance training memiliki pengaruh yang lebih besar. Sehingga penulis lebih menyarankan metode constant intensity endurance training dimasukan kedalam program latihan untuk meningkatkan daya tahan aerobik middle class runner. Kata kunci : constant intensity endurance training, daya tahan aerobik, low intensity interval training Aerobic endurance is a person's ability to perform movements with the whole body for a long time without experiencing significant fatigue. Fatigue can occur in long-distance runners due to poor aerobic endurance. This study aims to determine the comparison of the effect of constant intensity endurance training with low intensity interval training on increasing the aerobic endurance of middle class runners. The research method used was an experiment with a two-group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study was the Jong Bobar running community. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with certain criteria so that 10 people were obtained who were divided into two groups, namely the constant intensity endurance training group and the low intensity interval training group using ordinal pairing ABBA, the treatment was given 12 times. The instrument used in this study was a 2.4 km running test to measure VO2max levels. The results showed that the constant intensity endurance training method and the low intensity interval training method had a significant effect on increasing the aerobic endurance of middle class runners. In addition, it is known that the results of the comparison show that there is no significant difference in the influence between the constant intensity endurance training method and low intensity interval training on increasing the aerobic endurance of middle class runners, however, constant intensity endurance training has a greater influence. So the author recommends that the constant intensity endurance training method be included in the training program to increase the aerobic endurance of middle class runners.
