    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya masalah hasil belajar siswa kelas IV A UPT SD
    Negeri Ranjeng yang rendah pada pembelajaran IPAS, dengan hanya mendapatkan nilai
    rata-rata 69,12 dan ketuntasan belajar klasikal 38,70%. Masalah ini muncul, karena guru
    masih mendominasi menjelaskan materi dengan metode ceramah dan tidak menggunakan
    media, sebab kurangnya fasilitas di sekolah serta guru pun masih cenderung bingung
    membuat/menggunakan media. Dari hal tersebut, akibatnya siswa pun menjadi kurang
    maksimal dalam belajar. Aktivitas yang dilakukan kurang interaktif, siswa telihat bosan,
    tidak berpartisipasi aktif, tidak memahami materi, mengobrol dan bercanda. Dari adanya
    masalah ini, maka peneliti ingin mengatasinya menggunakan metode demonstrasi. Tujuan
    penelitian ini agar mengetahui penerapan metode demonstrasi dapat meningkatkan hasil
    belajar siswa kelas IV A pada pembelajaran IPAS. Lalu, untuk merealisasikannya
    menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Dari
    penelitian yang telah dilakukan, hasil yang didapat adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa,
    di Siklus I nilai rata-rata hanya memperoleh 60 dan ketuntasan belajar klasikal 51,61%,
    dan di Siklus II meningkat menjadi 74,51 dan 83,87%. Berdasarkan perolehan data hasil
    belajar yang semakin meningkat, maka disimpulkan metode demonstrasi memang efektif
    dan efisien diterapkan pada pembelajaran IPAS di kelas IV A UPT SD Negeri Ranjeng.

    The study is held against the background of the lower students' achievement at grade
    IV A UPT of Ranjeng elementary school of Ranjeng at IPAS, with an average score of 69.12
    and a sharp study of 38.70%. The problem arises, since teachers still dominate explaining
    materials by means of methods of speech and do not use the media, as the lack of facilities
    at schools and teachers are still confused in using media. Based on this, so the students
    also become less than maximum in learning. Activities performed less interactive, students
    are bored, not actively participating, not understanding the material, chatting and joking.
    Because of this problem, researchers want to overcome it using methods of demonstration.
    The purpose of this study to know the application of demonstration methods weather can
    increase the learning result of the IPAS toward students' achievement. Then, to implement
    it using qualitative approaches and Class Action Research Methods (PTK). From the
    research done, the results that have increased student learning achievement. In the Cycle
    I, only get avaerage value of 60 and the clacical mastery learning of 51.61%, and in Cycles
    II rise to 74.51 and 83.87%. Based on the increasing students achievement, so it is
    concluded that demonstration methods are effective and efficient applied to IPAS subject
    at grade IV A UPT elementary school of Ranjeng.
