Abstract
Olahraga dayung merupakan salah satu olahraga siklis yang memiliki kontribusi energi dominan berupa aerobik, namun energi anaerobik juga berperan penting untuk mencapai performa maksimal atlet dayung, dimana energi tersebut memberikan kekuatan otot kepada seorang atlet dayung. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kontribusi otot quadriceps, hamstrings dan latissimus dorsi terhadap performa atlet rowing Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan melibatkan 20 orang atlet pelatda rowing jawa barat sebagai sampel penelitian yang diukur menggunakan tes 1 RM dengan item tes back squat, Romanian deadlift dan bench pull. Setelah itu dilakukan analis data menggunakan pearson correlation. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kekuatan otot quadriceps (84,1%), hamstrings (83,5%) dan latissimus dorsi (83,1%) memiliki kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap performa atlet rowing jawa barat. Kekuatan otot quadriceps memberikan kontribusi paling besar dibanding otot lainnya. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa ketiga otot yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini memberikan peran penting terhadap performa atlet rowing, sehingga tidak bisa mengabaikan salah satu diantaranya. Oleh sebab itu, penulis menyarankan agar otot quadriceps, hamstrings dan latissimus dorsi perlu dilatih lebih intensif terutama bagian otot quadriceps karena memiliki kontribusi paling besar yaitu 84,1% terhadap performa atlet rowing Rowing is one of the cyclical sports that has a dominant energy contribution in the form of aerobic. Still, anaerobic energy also plays an important role in achieving maximum performance in rowing athletes, where this energy provides muscle strength to a rowing athlete. Therefore, this study aims to examine the contribution of the quadriceps, hamstrings, and latissimus dorsi muscles to the performance of West Java rowing athletes. This study used a quantitative method involving 20 West Java rowing athletes as research samples measured using the 1 RM test with back squat, Romanian deadlift, and bench pull test items. After that, data analysis was carried out using Pearson correlation. The results showed that quadriceps muscle strength (84.1%), hamstrings (83.5%), and latissimus dorsi (83.1%) had a significant contribution to the performance of West Java rowing athletes. Quadriceps muscle strength contributes the most compared to other muscles. This study concludes that the three muscles studied in this study provide an important role in the performance of rowing athletes, so it cannot ignore one of them. Therefore, the author suggests that the quadriceps, hamstrings and latissimus dorsi muscles need to be trained more intensively, especially the quadriceps muscle because it has the largest contribution of 84.1% to the performance of rowing athletes.
