Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan program simulasi virtual laboratory pada materi larutan asam-basa yang dapat digunakan sebagai media pelengkap praktikum, memvisualisasikan gambaran molekuler kimia pada level submikroskopis, dan mengetahui konsep-konsep serta keterampilan proses sains yang dapat dibangun melalui program simulasi virtual laboratory larutan asam-basa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research & Development dengan uji coba terbatas. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui lembar validasi keterbacaan media secara konten materi kepada dosen ahli secara konten materi, lembar validasi keterbacaan media secara teknis kepada dosen ahli secara media dan angket yang disebar kepada guru kimia SMA untuk mengetahui keterbacaan media secara konsep dan teknis, serta angket untuk memperkuat data mengenai konsep-konsep dan keterampilan proses sains yang dapat dibangun melalui program simulasi virtual laboratory larutan asam-basa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan program simulasi virtual laboratory larutan asam-basa yang dilakukan dalam penelitian meliputi analisis produk yang telah beredar, perancangan produk, pengembangan produk, dan evaluasi produk melalui uji coba terbatas. Konsep-konsep yang dapat dibangun adalah sifat netral, asam, asam kuat, asam lemah, basa, basa kuat, dan basa lemah sedangkan keterampilan proses sains yang dapat dibangun adalah mengamati, menerapkan konsep, mengelompokkan, menafsirkan, dan berkomunikasi. Kata Kunci: Simulasi, Virtual Laboratory, Larutan Asam-Basa, Konsep, Keterampilan Proses Sains. This study aimed to produce a virtual laboratory simulation programs on a solution of the acid-base material that can be used as a complementary media practicum, chemical visualize molecular-level picture submikroskopis, and knowing the concepts and science process skills that can be built through a virtual simulation laboratory acid solution -base. The research method used is a Research & Development with limited testing. Data collected through the validation sheet media content readability materials to faculty experts in content material, sheet media readability technical validation to faculty experts in media and questionnaires were distributed to high school chemistry teacher to know the media readability and technical concepts, as well as a questionnaire to strengthen Data regarding the concepts and science process skills that can be built through a virtual simulation program laboratory acid-base solution. The results showed that the development of virtual simulation program laboratory acid-base solution is carried out in the research include analysis of products that have been circulating, product design, product development, and evaluation of products through limited testing. Concepts that can be built is the nature of the neutral, acid, strong acids, weak acids, bases, strong bases and weak bases while science process skills that can be built is observed, apply concepts, classify, interpret, and communicate.
