Abstract
Masjid Salman ITB termasuk salah satu masjid percontohan di Indonesia. Akibatnya jumlah pengunjung Masjid Salman kian bertambah, bukan hanya jamaah atau pendatang, mahasiswa yang aktif sebagai aktivis dari berbagai kampus di Jawa Barat juga aktif berkegiatan di Masjid Salman ITB. Tercatat pada tahun 2022 jumlah mahasiswa yang aktif berkegiatan di Masjid Salman berdomisili di Jawa Barat sebanyak 1.170 mahasiswa sedangkan jumlah karyawan tercatat sebanyak 120 karyawan. Jumlah ini terus mengalami peningkatan setiap tahunnya, adanya peningkatan ini memengaruhi jumlah dan volume sampah yang masuk ke TPS Masjid Salman. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis partisipasi warga salman dalam pengelolaan sampah di Masjid Salman khususnya pengurangan dan pemilahan sampah baik dalam bentuk buah pikiran, harta benda, tenaga, keterampilan dan sosial. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Variabel dalam penelitian ini untuk variabel bebas menggunakan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi dan variabel terikatnya tingkat partisipasi warga salman. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah menggunakan studi literatur, studi dokumentasi, kuesioner, dan wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan skala likert untuk mengukur partisipasi, lalu dikaji dengan menggunakan teknik persentase dan korelasi pearson serta chi-square untuk melihat korelasi dari variabel x dan y. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu:1) Partisipasi warga salman dalam bentuk buah pikiran sangat rendah. 2) Partisipasi warga salman dalam bentuk harta benda rendah. 3) Partisipasi warga salman dalam bentuk tenaga sangat rendah. 4) Partisipasi warga salman dalam bentuk keterampilan sangat rendah. 5) Partisipasi warga salman dalam bentuk sosial sangat rendah. Faktor yang memengaruhi tingkat partisipasi adalah jenis kelamin, usia perbedaan,tingkat Pendidikan, tingkat penghasilan , mata pencaharian. The Salman Mosque at ITB is one of the exemplary mosques in Indonesia. As a result, the number of visitors to Salman Mosque continues to increase, not only among worshipers or visitors, but also among students who actively engage as activists from various campuses in West Java, actively participating in activities at Salman Mosque ITB. In 2022, it was recorded that the number of students actively participating in activities at Salman Mosque and residing in West Java was 1,170 students, while the number of employees was recorded at 120. This number continues to increase every year, and this increase affects the amount and volume of waste entering the Salman Mosque waste disposal site (TPS). The aim of this research is to analyze the participation of Salman residents in waste management at Salman Mosque, especially in waste reduction and sorting, involving intellectual contributions, material possessions, manpower, skills, and social aspects. This research adopts a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. The variables in this study for independent variables use factors that influence, and the dependent variable is the level of participation of Salman residents. Data collection techniques include literature studies, documentation studies, questionnaires, and interviews. Data analysis uses the Likert scale to measure participation, followed by percentage and Pearson correlation techniques, as well as chi-square to examine the correlation between variables x and y. The research results obtained are as follows: 1) Participation of Salman residents in intellectual contributions is very low. 2) Participation of Salman residents in material possessions is low. 3) Participation of Salman residents in manpower is very low. 4) Participation of Salman residents in skills is low. 5) Participation of Salman residents in social aspects is very low. Factors influencing the level of participation include gender, age differences, education level, income level, and occupation.
