Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbandingan antara performa dan kualitas situs web universitas dengan pemeringkatan Webometrics. Pemeringkatan Webometrics menjadi salah satu indikator penting untuk menilai visibilitas dan dampak dari situs web universitas secara global. Dalam penelitian ini, dilakukan pengujian terhadap 10 situs web universitas teratas di Indonesia berdasarkan pemeringkatan Webometrics. Pengujian ini melibatkan penilaian kualitas situs web menggunakan alat WAVE untuk mengidentifikasi kesalahan dan masalah aksesibilitas, serta analisis performa situs web yang meliputi kecepatan muat halaman dan efisiensi teknis lainnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia meraih peringkat pertama dalam kualitas situs web dengan skor akhir 17,50, serta menempati peringkat pertama dalam performa situs web dengan skor akhir 0,783 berdasarkan perhitungan composite scoring. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kualitas dan performa situs web memainkan peran penting dalam pemeringkatan Webometrics, meskipun bukan satu-satunya faktor yang mempengaruhi peringkat. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa universitas perlu mengadopsi pendekatan holistik dalam strategi pengelolaan situs web. ----- This study aims to analyze the comparison between the performance and quality of university websites and the Webometrics ranking. The Webometrics ranking serves as an important indicator for assessing the visibility and impact of university websites globally. In this research, testing was conducted on the top 10 university websites in Indonesia based on the Webometrics ranking. This testing involved evaluating website quality using the WAVE tool to identify errors and accessibility issues, as well as analyzing website performance, which includes page load speed and other technical efficiencies. The results of the study show that Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia ranked first in website quality with a final score of 17.50 and also ranked first in website performance with a final score of 0.783 based on composite scoring calculations. These findings indicate that the quality and performance of a website play an important role in the Webometrics ranking, although they are not the only factors that influence the ranking. The conclusion of this study is that universities need to adopt a holistic approach in their website management strategies.
