Abstract
Saat ini, Speech delay diinformasikan sebagai salah satu masalah utama yang
dihadapi oleh orangtua anak. Speech delay menyebabkan anak mengalami kesulitan dalam
berbicara dan berbahasa. Salah satu stimulasi yang dapat dilakukan orangtua dan guru
yaitu dengan menggunakan media interaktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui tahapan
dan dampak penggunaan media big book interaksional dalam menstimulasi keterampilan
berbicara anak usia dini dengan speech delay pada kelompok B di TK Aisyiyah Bustanul
Athfal 3 Serang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode
eksploratoris. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik observasi, wawancara dan
dokumentasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 1 orang anak berinisial AAW (5 tahun)
dengan speech delay, 1 orang guru kelompok B dan ibu dari AAW. Temuan peneliti
menunjukkan penggunaan media big book interaksional oleh guru dan orangtua dalam
menstimulasi keterampilan berbicara anak usia dini dengan speech delay, menunjukkan
dampak positif terhadap beberapa aspek keterampilan berbicara. Penggunaan media big
book interaksional perlu disertai dengan kemampuan guru dan orangtua dalam
mengartikulasikan kata dengan baik, mengulang pelafalan arti dari kosakata sederhana,
serta memberi umpan balik pada anak agar mampu menyelesaikan kata atau kalimat. Hal
tersebut memberi dampak positif pada kemampuan anak untuk menjawab pertanyaan
lebih kompleks, pengembangan kosakata dan pembentukan kalimat.
Currently, speech delay is reported as one of the main problems faced by
parents of children. Speech delay causes children to experience difficulties in speaking and
language. One form of stimulation that parents and teachers can do is by using interactive
media. This research aims to determine the stages and impact of using interactional big
book media in stimulating the speaking skills of early childhood children with speech delay
in group B at Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 3 Serang Kindergarten. This research uses a
qualitative approach with an exploratory method. Data collection was carried out through
observation, interviews and documentation techniques. The subjects in this study were 1
child with the initials AAW (5 years old) with speech delay, 1 group B teacher and AAW's
mother. The researchers' findings show that the use of interactional big book media by
teachers and parents in stimulating the speaking skills of young children with speech delay,
shows a positive impact on several aspects of speaking skills. The use of interactive big book
media needs to be accompanied by the ability of teachers and parents to articulate words
well, repeat the pronunciation of the meaning of simple vocabulary, and provide feedback to
children so they are able to complete words or sentences. This has a positive impact on
children's ability to answer more complex questions, develop vocabulary and form
sentences.
