PENGEMBANGAN EKOWISATA BAHARI DI PULAU
HARAPAN SEBAGAI DESTINASI WISATA TEMATIK
BERKELANJUTAN

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskriptif dan mengevaluasi potensi Pulau
Harapan sebagai destinasi ekowisata bahari yang berkelanjutan. Terletak di
Kepulauan Seribu, Indonesia, Pulau Harapan dikenal dengan keindahan alamnya
yang mempesona dan keanekaragaman hayati yang kaya. Penelitian ini
menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan observasi, wawancara, dan
dokumentasi untuk mengumpulkan data yang relevan. Subyek penelitian
mencakup masyarakat setempat, wisatawan, dan penyedia jasa wisata. Analisis
data dilakukan dengan menggunakan model konseptual triple bottom line yang
meliputi tiga aspek utama: people (masyarakat), planet (lingkungan), dan profit
(ekonomi). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pulau Harapan memiliki potensi
besar sebagai destinasi ekowisata bahari berkelanjutan. Dari segi people,
masyarakat setempat sangat mendukung pengembangan ekowisata dan terlibat
aktif dalam berbagai kegiatan pelestarian lingkungan. Aspek planet menunjukkan
bahwa kondisi ekosistem pulau masih relatif terjaga dengan adanya berbagai
upaya konservasi seperti penanaman Mangrove dan konservasi penyu. Dari sisi
profit, ekowisata di Pulau Harapan telah memberikan kontribusi ekonomi yang
signifikan bagi masyarakat lokal melalui peningkatan pendapatan dan lapangan
kerja. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pengembangan ekowisata bahari yang
berkelanjutan di Pulau Harapan tidak hanya akan meningkatkan kesejahteraan
ekonomi masyarakat setempat, tetapi juga menjaga kelestarian lingkungan dan
budaya lokal.

ABSTRACT
This study aims to evaluate the potential of Pulau Harapan as a sustainable
marine ecotourism destination. Located in the Thousand Islands, Indonesia,
Pulau Harapan is renowned for its stunning natural beauty and rich biodiversity.
This research employs qualitative methods with an approach of observation,
interviews, and documentation to gather relevant data. The study subjects include
local communities, tourists, and tour service providers. Data analysis is
conducted using the conceptual model of the triple bottom line, which
encompasses three main aspects: people (community), planet (environment), and
profit (economy). The results of the study indicate that Pulau Harapan has
significant potential as a sustainable marine ecotourism destination. In terms of
people, the local community is highly supportive of ecotourism development and
actively participates in various environmental conservation activities. The planet
aspect shows that the island's ecosystem remains relatively well-preserved with
various conservation efforts such as Mangrove planting and turtle conservation.
From the profit perspective, ecotourism in Pulau Harapan has significantly
contributed to the local economy through increased income and employment
opportunities. This study concludes that the development of sustainable marine
ecotourism in Pulau Harapan will not only enhance the economic well-being of
the local community but also preserve the local environment and culture.
