Abstract

Penelitian ini didasari oleh betapa pentingnya mengembangkan keterampilan menyimak anak usia dini untuk menunjang kegiatan belajar, belum maksimalnya keterampilan menyimak anak usia dini, belum tersedianya media pembelajaran yang khusus digunakan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan menyimak anak usia dini, serta sulitnya menemukan video animasi yang kontenya sesuai untuk anak usia dini padahal penggunaan media tersebut cukup efektif untuk mengembangkan keterampilan menyimak anak usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media video animasi untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menyimak anak usia dini yang disesuaikan pada hasil analisis kebutuhan di lapangan, teori, serta regulasi yang berkaitan dengan pengembangan media dan keterampilan menyimak anak. Media video animasi yang dikembangkan berbentuk alur cerita yang dekat dengan kehidupan anak dan memuat pertanyaan untuk mengevaluasi keterampilan anak dalam aspek mendengar, memahami, dan menanggapi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan pendekatan Mix Method, dan desain ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi, validasi dari ahli, serta angket. Produk media video animasi yang telah selesai dikembangkan kemudian divalidasi oleh ahli sesuai bidangnya untuk menilai produk sebelum digunakan pada tahap uji coba. Uji coba dilakukan sebanyak dua tahap di TK Negeri Pembina Kota Tasikmalaya setelah media video animasi direvisi sesuai saran dari para validator. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa media video animasi sangat efektif dan layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menyimak anak usia dini. This research is based on the importance of developing listening skills in early childhood to support learning activities, the lack of optimal listening skills in early childhood, the unavailability of learning media specifically used to develop listening skills in early childhood, and the difficulty of finding animated videos whose content is suitable for children. early age even though the use of this media is quite effective in developing the listening skills of young children. This research aims to develop animated video media to improve the listening skills of early childhood which is adapted to the results of needs analysis in the field, theories and regulations related to media development and children's listening skills. The animated video media developed is in the form of a story line that is close to children's lives and contains questions to evaluate children's skills in the aspects of listening, understanding and responding. The method used in this research is research and development (Research and Development) with a Mix Method approach, and ADDIE design (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data collection was carried out by observation, interviews, documentation studies, validation from experts, and questionnaires. Animated video media products that have been developed are then validated by experts in their respective fields to assess the product before being used at the trial stage. The trial was carried out in two stages at the Pembina State Kindergarten in Tasikmalaya City after the animated video media was revised according to suggestions from the validators. The research results show that animated video media is very effective and suitable for use to improve the listening skills of young children.
