Abstract

A research had been done about application of Computer Assisted Instruction to know whether there is a significant difference on achievement of students who study physics by Computer Assisted Instruction and students who study physics by conventional methode. The research methode is quasi experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. This research was done in one of junior high school in Bandung City. The number of sample is 33 students as experimental class and 35 students as control class. As research data, pretest and posttest scores are gotten by using multiple choice questions. After the gain data is tested by Mann Whitney U Test. It shows that there is no significant difference on achievement between students who study physics by Computer Assisted Instruction and students who study physics by conventional method. Futher analysis shows, according to average normalized gain, achievement improvement of the experimental class is higher than the class control. Students also give positive respon to the physics learning by using Computer Assisted Instruction.
