Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode montessori terhadap peningkatan kemampuan bahasa reseptif bagi anak tunarungu kelas II SDLB di SLB Insan Sejahtera. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen single subject research. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrument tes perbuatan yang kemudian di uji coba menggunakan uji validitas isi berupa expert judgement 3 ahli dan di uji reliabilitas menggunakan uji reliabilitas inter-rater dengan Cohen Kappa sebelum digunakan sebagai penelitian. Subjek O pada penelitian yaitu anak tunarungu kelas II SDLB di SLB Insan Sejahtera. Berdasarkan hasil baseline 1 (A-1) menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan bahasa reseptif pada anak tunarungu masih rendah dengan perolehan skor rata-rata sebesar 16.6%, sedangkan ketika diberikan perlakuan pada intervensi (B) kemampuan tersebut mulai meningkat dengan skor rata-rata sebesar 47,2%, sehingga hasil baseline 2 (A-2) setelah diberikan perlakukan mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan pada kemampuan bahasa reseptif anak tunarungu dengan skor rata-rata sebesar 77,7%. Hal tersebut dikarenakan adanya penerapan metode yang mendukung dalam meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa reseptif anak. Demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode montessori berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan bahasa reseptif bagi anak tunarungu kelas II SDLB di SLB Insan Sejahtera yang ditunjukan dengan adanya peningkatan kemampuan bahasa reseptif pada aspek menyimak informasi, memahami instruksi, dan merespon pertanyaan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan anak sangatlah penting agar mampu menarik perhatian anak tunarungu dalam belajar serta pentingnya media pembelajaran untuk memudahkan anak tunarungu untuk memvisualisasikan suatu materi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode montessori three period lesson untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa reseptif anak. This study aims to determine the effect of the montessori method on improving receptive language skills for deaf children in class II SDLB in SLB Insan Sejahtera. This research uses a quantitative approach with a single-subject experimental method. The data collection technique used an action test instrument, which was then tested using a content validity test in the form of expert judgment by three experts and tested for reliability using an inter-rater reliability test with Cohen Kappa before being used as research. The subjects O in the study were deaf children in grade II SDLB at SLB Insan Sejahtera. Based on the results of baseline 1 (A-1) shows that receptive language skills in deaf children are still low with an average score of 16.6%, while when given treatment in intervention (B), these abilities begin to increase with an average score of 47.2%, so that the results of baseline 2 (A-2) after being given treatment show a significant increase in the receptive language skills of deaf children with an average score of 77.7%. This is due to the application of methods that support improving children's receptive language skills. Thus, it can be concluded that the montessori method has an effect on improving receptive language skills for deaf children in class II SDLB in SLB Insan Sejahtera, which is indicated by an increase in receptive language skills in the aspects of listening to information, understanding instructions, and responding to questions. The implication of this research is that the use of learning methods that suit the needs of children is very important in order to attract the attention of deaf children to learning and the importance of learning media to make it easier for deaf children to visualize a learning material by using the Montessori three period lesson method to improve children's receptive language skills.
