Abstract

Penelitian dengan judul Peningkatan Hasil Belajar Siswa tentang Cahaya dan Sifat-Sifatnya melalui Model Inkuiri Terbimbing Di Kelas V Sekolah Dasar didasarkan pada permasalahan yang terjadi di lapangan yang menunjukkan bahwa pada pembelajaran IPA masih berpusat pada guru karena tidak digunakannya model pembelajaran yang dapat melibatkan siswa secara langsung dalam membangun sendiri pengetahuannya, sehingga siswa menjadi pasif dan pemahaman terhadap materi kurang. Akibatnya hasil belajar yang diperoleh rendah. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa melalui model Inkuiri Terbimbing, termasuk didalamnya meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam membuat perencanaan dan melaksanakan pembelajaran melalui model Inkuiri Terbimbing. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan model Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, yang terdiri dari empat tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian merupakan seluruh siswa kelas V SDN Gunung Pereng 5 dengan jumlah siswa 25 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, catatan lapangan, dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan dalam perencanaan pembelajaran yang dibuat oleh guru, yaitu pada siklus I nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh 73,51%, menjadi 84,82% pada siklus II, pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model Inkuiri Terbimbing mencapai nilai rata-rata 72,5%, dengan keterlaksanaan penggunaan model mencapai nilai rata-rata 70% pada siklus I, menjadi 83,12% dengan keterlaksanaan penggunaan model mencapai nilai rata-rata 86% pada siklus II. Adapun dalam peningkatan hasil belajar siswa, pada siklus I hasil belajar siswa dalam aspek kogitif memperoleh nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 48% dan postest sebesar 66,4% dengan rata-rata selisih nilai pretest-postest sebesar 18% menjadi 53% dalam nilai rata-rata pretest, 80,8% dalam nilai rata-rata posttest, dan 27,6% dalam rata-rata selisih nilai pretest-postest, pada aspek afektif nilai rata-rata mencapai 70% pada siklus I menjadi 96,6% pada siklus II, dan pada aspek psikomotor nilai rata-rata mencapai 60% pada siklus I menjadi 93,3% pada siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model Inkuiri Terbimbing dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Kata Kunci: Hasil Belajar, Cahaya, Inkuiri Terbimbing. The research titled Improving Student Results on light and its properties through Guided Inquiry Model In Elementary School of Fifth Grade is based on problems that occur in the field which suggests that the science is still centered learning because teachers do not use instructional model that can involve students directly in constructing their own knowledge, so that students become passive and less understanding of the material. As a result, the obtained lower learning outcomes. This study was conducted to improve student learning outcomes through Guided Inquiry Model, including increasing the ability of teachers in planning and implementing learning through Guided Inquiry Model. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with a model of classroom action research, which consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subject of research is around the fifth grade students of SDN Gunung Pereng 5 with student numbers of 25 people. Data was collected through observation, interviews, documentation, field notes, and tests. The results showed improvement in the learning plan created by the teachers, namely in the first cycle the average value obtained 73.51%, to 84.82% in the second cycle, the implementation of a model of learning by using Guided Inquiry reached an average value of 72, 5%, with adherence to the use of the model reaches an average of 70% in the first cycle, being 83.12% with adherence to the use of the model reaches an average value of 86% in the second cycle. As for the improvement of student learning outcomes, in the first cycle aspects of student learning outcomes in cognitive obtain an average value of 48% pretest and posttest was 66.4% with an average pretest-posttest difference in value by 18% to 53% in the average value the average pretest, 80.8% in the average value of the posttest, and 27.6% in average pretest-posttest difference in value, the affective aspect of the average value reached 70% in the first cycle to 96.6% in second cycle, and the psychomotor aspects of the average value reached 60% in the first cycle to 93.3% in the second cycle.
