Abstract

Masih ada sebagian siswa yang mendapat nilai praktek kerja industri dibawah nilai minimal yang ditetapkan oleh pihak sekolah maupun industri yaitu 80 pada tahun pelajaran 2013/2014, serta jika dilihat dari data lima tahun sebelumnya ada kecenderungan presentasi nilai praktik kerja industri lebih keci dibandingkan dengan presentasi nilai uji komptensi. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kontribusi nilai praktik kerja industri terhadap nilai uji kompetensi, serta untuk mengetahui nilai belajar siswa selama praktik kerja industri dan hasil nilai uji kompetensi teknik pemesinan di SMKN 1 Sumedang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode desktriptif kuantitatif korelasional dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 73 siswa dengan dilakukan analisis data yang meliputi perhitungan uji normalitas, perhitungan uji regresi sederhana, perhitungan koefisien korelasi, perhitungan koefisien determinasi dan pengujian hipotesis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa 1) Nilai praktik kerja industri pada tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 rata-rata mendapat nilai kategori sangat baik, 2) Nilai uji kompetensi pada tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 rata-rata mendapat nilai kategori sangat baik, 3) Nilai praktik kerja industri tidak berkontribusi yang positif terhadap nilai uji kompetensi.

In the school year of 2013/2014, there are still some students who get score under 80, the minimum score agreed by both school and industry. Besides, reviewing the previous five years, it can be found that there is a tendency in which the percentage of industry practice score is smaller than the percentage of test competency score.Thus, this study is conducted to find out the contribution of industry practice score to competency test score of Mechanical Engineering Major in SMKN 1 Sumedang. The method applied in this study is Quantitative Descriptive Correlational Design involving 73 students as the research subjects. The data analysis techniques are the calculations of Normality Test, Simple Regression, Correlation Coefficient, Coefficient of Determination and Hypothesis Testing. Then the results show 1) The industry practice score in school year of 2013/2014 is in very good score category, 2) The competency test score in school year of 2013/2014 mostly get the very good category, 3) The industry practice score gives no any positive contribution to the competency test score.
