Abstract

Pemahaman konsep IPA merupakan hal yang yang sangat penting untuk dimiliki oleh peserta didik. Siswa yang memiliki pemahaman konsep akan mampu mengungkapkan kembali apa yang sudah diterimanya serta dapat menerapkannya dalam kehidupan sehari hari. Pembelajaran IPA dinilai sangat penting dalam hal pendidikan dan erat kaitannya dengan
perkembangan teknologi. Terdapat beberapa fakor yang menyebabkan kurangnyapemahaman konsep IPA siswa, diantaranya yaitu pembelajaran dengan metode lama serta
penggunaan media pembelajaran yang kurang bevariatif dalam proses pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari model cooperative learning type STAD berbantuan aplikasi plickers terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA siswa di sekolah dasar pada pembelajaran IPA, serta untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep IPA siswa di sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain non-equivalent control group pada pokok bahasan memakan dan dimakan dengan pelaksanaan pretest dan postest pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Dengan subjek siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar yang berjumlah 46 siswa. Hasil analisis data menunjukan pengaruh dari model cooperative learning type STAD berbantuan aplikasi plickers sebesar 63.1% pada pemahaman konsep IPA siswa disekolah dasar. Serta peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa sebesar 89% dengan interpretasi tinggi.

The conceptual understanding is very important for students. Students who have a good
grasp of concepts will be able to articulate what they have learned and apply it in their daily
lives. Science education is considered very important in education and is closely related to
technological development. There are several factors that contribute to students' lack of
understanding of concepts, including outdated teaching methods and the use of less varied
teaching media during the learning process. The aim of this research is to determine the
effect of the cooperative learning model type STAD assisted by the Plickers application on
elementary school students' understanding of science concepts, as well as to understand the
improvement in elementary school students' understanding of science concepts. The method
used in this research is a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design on
the topic of food chains, with the implementation of pretests and posttests in both the
experimental and control classes. The subjects were 46 fourth-grade elementary school
students. The data analysis results showed that the cooperative learning model type STAD
assisted by the Plickers application had a 63.1% influence on the understanding of science
concepts among elementary school students. And an increase in students' understanding of
concepts by 89% with high interpretation.
