Abstract
Penelitian ini didasarkan oleh perlu adanya perbaikan pembelajaran hasil belajar siswa dan aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran PPKn di Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini melakukan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa melalui pembelajaran yang didalamnya mengandung unsur permainan turnamen. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari siklus I dan siklus II dengan beberapa tahapan mulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu tes evaluasi pembelajaran, observasi aktivitas siswa, dan wawancara. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas IV disalah satu sekolah SD Jakarta Barat yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Sebelum melaksanakan penerapan model pembelajaran Team Games Tournament siswa memperoleh hasil belajar sebesar 10%. Saat penerapan model pembelajaran Team Games Tournament pada siklus I aktivitas siswa memperoleh sebesar 65% dan hasil belajar siswa memperoleh 57% dengan rata-rata 61,5. Hal ini belum mencapai target yang diharapkan sehingga dilakukannya siklus II dengan aktivitas siswa memperoleh sebesar 92,5% dan hasil belajar siswa memperoleh 83% dengan rata-rata 75. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebelum dilakukannya penerapan model pembelajaran Team Games Tournament masih terdapat siswa yang mengalami pemahaman yang rendah sehingga perlu dilakukannya perbaikan untuk hasil belajar yang baik, kemudian setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran Team Games Tournament aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan yang jauh lebih baik. Maka, pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model Team Games Tournament (TGT) dapat memperbaiki hasil belajar PPKn siswa kelas IV di Sekolah Dasar. ----- This research is based on the need to improve student learning outcomes and student activities in Civics learning in elementary schools. This research applies the Team Games Tournament type cooperative learning model which aims to improve learning outcomes and student activities through learning which contains elements of tournament games. This research uses the classroom action research (PTK) method which consists of cycle I and cycle II with several stages starting from planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The instruments used in this research were learning evaluation tests, observation of student activities, and interviews. The subjects in this research were class IV students at one of the West Jakarta elementary schools, totaling 30 students. Before implementing the Team Games Tournament learning model, students obtained learning outcomes of 10%. When implementing the Team Games Tournament learning model in cycle I, student activity was 65% and student learning outcomes were 57% with an average of 61.5. This has not achieved the expected target so that the second cycle was carried out with student activities getting 92.5% and student learning outcomes getting 83% with an average of 75. Based on this, it can be concluded that before implementing the Team Games Tournament learning model there were still students who experience low understanding so that improvements need to be made for good learning outcomes, then after implementing the Team Games Tournament learning model, student activities and learning outcomes experience a much better improvement. So, learning by implementing the Team Games Tournament (TGT) model can improve PPKn learning outcomes for grade IV students in elementary schools.
