Abstract
Indonesia sebagai negara multikultural, yang terdapat beragam suku, ras dan agama. Adanya keberagaman tersebut bisa menyebabkan konflik intoleransi. Konflik intoleransi bisa terjadi di kalangan remaja SMA yang dalam masa pencarian jati dirinya. Salah satu pengaruh terpenting dalam perkembangan remaja adalah latar belakang pendidikan. Maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan antara toleransi beragama dengan latar belakang pendidikan siswa dari segi dimensi akidah dan muamalah. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif, metode korelasional dengan desain survei cross-sectional. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMAN 15 Bandung pada tahun ajaran 2023-2024 dan berhasil mendapatkan 290 responden. Responden diberikan angket tertutup dengan menggunakan skala likert. Setelah dilakukan uji validitas dan reliabilitas menggunakan SPSS Statistic 26, peneliti melakukan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Hasil statistik deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa secara umum (93,94%) siswa SMAN 15 Bandung memiliki sikap toleransi beragama yang baik. Toleransi beragama tersebut terbagi ke dalam dua kelompok latar belakang pendidikan, yakni siswa yang berlatar belakang SMP Umum (92,05%) dan siswa yang berlatar belakang SMP berbasis Islām (93,25%), hasilnya sudah tergolong baik juga. Adapun untuk hasil analisis inferensial menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara toleransi beragama dengan latar belakang pendidikan siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai hasil uji paired sample t-test, dengan nilai Asymp sig (2 tailed) yaitu 0,598 > 0,05. Dari hasil penelitian merekomendasikan kepada pihak sekolah, guru, siswa, jurusan PAI, dan peneliti selanjutnya. Khususnya pihak guru, untuk memberi perhatian khusus dengan membimbing dan membina siswa untuk bersikap toleran. The existence of this diversity can cause conflicts of intolerance. Conflicts of intolerance can occur among high school teenagers who are in the process of searching for their identity. One of the most important influences on adolescent development is educational background. So this research aims to determine whether there is a relationship between religious tolerance and students' educational background in terms of the dimensions of faith and muamalah. The research method uses a descriptive quantitative approach, correlational method with a cross-sectional survey design. This research was conducted at SMAN 15 Bandung in the 2023-2024 academic year and succeeded in getting 290 respondents. Respondents were given a closed questionnaire using a Likert scale. After carrying out validity and reliability tests using SPSS Statistics 26, researchers carried out descriptive statistical analysis and inferential analysis. The results of descriptive statistics show that in general (93.94%) students at SMAN 15 Bandung have a good attitude of religious tolerance. Religious tolerance is divided into two educational background groups, namely students with a general junior high school background (92.05%) and students with an Islāmic-based junior high school background (93.25%), the results are also quite good. As for the results of the inferential analysis, it shows that there is no significant difference between religious tolerance and students' educational background. This is proven by the value of the paired sample t-test results, with an Asymp sig (2 tailed) value of 0.598 > 0.05. From the results of the research, it is recommended to schools, teachers, students, PAI departments, and future researchers.
