Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di kelas IV SDN PasirjayaKecamatanPurbaratu Kota Tasikmalaya. TeknikSQ3Rmerupakansalahsatuteknikpembelajaran yang dapatmeningkatkanketerampilanmembaca.OlehkarenaitupenelitianinidilakukanatasanggapanbahwateknikSQ3Rdapatmeningkatkanketerampilanmembaca pemahaman siswadi kelas IV SDN PasirjayaKecamatanPurbaratu Kota Tasikmalaya.Tujuandari penelitianiniadalahuntukmengetahuipengaruhteknikSQ3Rterhadapkemampuanmembaca pemahamansiswa di kelas IV SDN PasirjayaKecamatanPurbaratu Kota Tasikmalaya.Adapunvariabel yang ditelitiadalahpenggunaanteknikSQ3R (X) dankemampuanmembaca pemahaman (Y).Penelitiandilaksanakan di SDN Pasirjaya yang berlokasi di PasirjayaRt 02 Rw 06Kelurahan SukajayaKecamatanPurbaratu Kota Tasikmalaya. Metode yang digunakanyaitumetode Pre Eksperimendenganjenis One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampel dalam penelitian merupakan populasiyaituseluruhsiswakelas IV yang berjumlah 23 orang. Sampel terdiri dari 13 orang laki-laki dan 10 orang perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu teknik tes. Data yang berhasildikumpulkan, selanjutnyadiolahdandianalisissecarakuantitatifuntukmengetahuipengaruhteknikSQ3Rterhadapkemampuanmembaca pemahaman siswa.Hasilpenelitianmenunjukanbahwa thitung (5,001) lebih besar dari t table(2,080). Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa teknik SQ3R berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa. Pengaruh yang diberikan sebesar54,4% dansisanyaditentukanolehvariabel lain. SQ3R technique was one of techniques that could improve the reading skills.Therefore, this study was conducted based on assumption that the SQ3R technique could improve the reading comprehension skills of the 4th grade students. The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of the SQ3R technique to reading comprehension skills of the fourth grade students. The variables studied was the SQ3R techniques (X)and reading comprehension skill (Y) . The study was conducted in SDN Pasirjaya located on pasirjaya Rt 02 Rw06SukajayaPurbaratu District of Tasikmalaya . The method used wasPre experiments method with One Group Pretest - Posttest Design. The sample were the entire population of fourth graders who totaled 23 people . Sample consisted of 13 men and 10 women. Data collection techniques used wastest technique. Data were collected, processed and analyzed quantitatively to find out the effect of the SQ3Rtechnique to students’ reading comprehension skill. The result showed that tcount (5,001) were more than t table (2.080) . Therefore, it could be concluded that the SQ3R technique effected on students' reading comprehension skill positively . The influences given were 54.4 % and the amuont left over were determined by other variables. Keywords :technique , SQ3R , skill , reading , comprehension
