Abstract

Salah satu pembelajaran yang ada di sekolah dasar adalah pelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Keterampilan berbahasa yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa sekolah dasar ada empat yaitu keterampilan menulis, berbicara, mendengar dan membaca. Di antara empat keterampilan berbahasa tersebut yang masih perlu perhatian dari guru, yaitu keterampilan membaca. Siswa harus mampu membaca dengan baik karena melalui membaca kita dapat memperoleh pengetahuan yang luas. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh metode struktur analitik sintetik terhadap keterampilan membaca permulaan siswa kelas I sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan oleh peneliti yaitu eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain one group pretest-posttest. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas I Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini dilakukan di UPTD SDN Purwamekar dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas IB berjumlah 26 orang. Hasil penelitian yang didapat menunjukan bahwa, rata-rata nilai pretest atau saat sebelum diberikan perlakuan yaitu sebesar 60,7 dan rata-rata saat posttest atau setelah diberikan perlakuan yaitu sebesar 82,7. Dari hasil analisis data yang telah dilakukan dengan regresi linear yaitu sebesar 78% dan uji N-Gain berada pada kategori sedang. Dengan demikian, metode struktur analitik sintetik berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan membaca permulaan siswa. ----- ABSTRACT One of the elementary school learning is Indonesian language. There are four language skills that elementary school students must have, they are writing, speaking, listening, and reading skills. Among the four language skills, that teachers still need to pay attention to is reading skill. Students must be able to read properly, because through reading, we could gain extensive knowledge. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing how much influence the synthetic analytic structure method has on the beginning reading skills of grade I elementary school students. The type of research used by the researcher was an experiment using one group pretest-posttest design. The subject of this research was grade I elementary schooll students. This research has been done in UPTD SDN Purwamekar with the research subject of grade IB were 26 students in total. The result of this study shown that, the average pretest score or before treatment was 60.7 and the average posttest score after treatment was 82.7. From the results of data analysis that has been done with linear regression, which is 78% and the N-Gain test is in the medium category.
